yeah, bacterias go away. viruses are for life. just like the chicken pox virus lays dormant.
Once your under the age of 26 years old, their is an injection that a person can take. Go to your gyno and ask him or her about it.
So i have a question i keep reading about hpv and at moments it will make me feel ok but others im scared out of my mind. so my roommate slept with a girl. she told me she use to have hpv... she said she had it but then she got tested and it was clear a year later. well she slept with my roommate of course no protection and never told him. so since she was told she was clear does that mean he is in the clear or does he now have it. i ask for myself because things obviously happened between him and i after.
WAIT SORRY DIDNT MEANT TO REPLY I WAS TRYING TO ASK A QUESTION ON THE SITE MY BAD
I had an abnormal pap at 16 and was HPV positive. Went back every 6 months for 3 years after that and never had an abnormal one again. I am 19 now and just got a pap a few weeks ago and this one came back HPV positive again. Going for a colposcopy tomorrow to see what my next step is... So yes it might come back... My doctor told me that it is very rare but could happen and since it is found early again it probably will go away.. AGAIN. Good luck I hope it doesn't happen to you!
this post is partly correct, symptoms can reoccur more than once at any time.
I think everyone should actually follow up with their doctors and don't use Google as a health tool. Hpv is NOT an STD...it is a virus that clears up within one to two years. It is so sad how reading something so small on the internet can worry and stress women out about their health. HPV cannot be detected in Men because they do not have a cervix. Almost every woman in the world will have HPV once in their lifetime because it is normal. These vaccines that they are giving young men and women are actually inputting the virus in our systems just like the flu. Your body fights it off and it's gone. If you keep having re-occurrences, it's most likely another stand from another male partner.
Don't stress yourselves out or feel bad about yourselves because you will NOT die from HPV. Just take better care of yourselves like some of the ladies mentioned...eat right, exercise and most importantly build your immune system :)
your life is not ruined. Make sure to practice safe sex and have regulars Pap and HPV tests.
