Your body is ise to fake dopamine levels. So when you stop your body has to work to repair this. You will fell tired and depressed when quitting. In addition, THC is stored is fats cells for an insane amount of time - when yiu exercise ir put things in your body- or sometimes just daiky routine can rekease this THC and you feel high. Best advice. Stay off weed, drink water, exercise and sleep 8 hours. You will be tired for months if you were heavily chronic but it will eventually flush ( human body is amazing) and if you push through and employ thise habits....when jt does break youll be superman

I came to this forum to find answers and I got them. It’s been a week for me since I quit. I would vape mostly but I also did joints and edibles. The reason I quit was because I wasn’t getting as high anymore and it was starting to make me sick. I would Smoke 24/7. Anyways let me tell you… anyone who says you don’t get withdrawals from quitting smoking weed is lying. Lol I still don’t think weed it’s addicting but definitely could turn into a habit. First 5 days were the worst. Extreme nausea and joint pain. Today it’s a full week since and like you all have said I am extremely tired and funny enough just like everyone it starts right before noon. I can’t even shower without feeling like I’m gonna faint with how tired I feel. I truly hope it goes away because damn I can’t do anything without feeling like I need to just pass out and go to sleep. I’ve also been very easily irritated with everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Anyways I’m proud of myself and you should too. Hang in there as I am. It will all be worth it.

Hey all

Good to see im not alone. Technically ive smoked marijuana for 20 years, since i was 16, now im approaching 40 i decided to give it all up for good.

Im on Day 8 and woooow, im also feeling the extreme fatigue and i look like death haha...Feeling so tired i can literally nap at 10:30 am and wake up at 2pm...

Tired and slow, and also bright sunlight and loud noises seem more "apparent"...

But i made it to a week free, first in 20 years like i say and im gonna stick with it...

Maybe just spend the first few weekends with movies playing in the back ground and sleep it off is my best idea...

I've been trying hard to quit for over a year now. So many trips with the stash to the garbage. Only to be buying it again the next day. Most I've made it is maybe 16 days. I lie about it. I want to stop but I love it as well. Every time I think I can manage to smoke just sometimes I fail but I'm trying again. i want the best of both worlds but I don't know what it's worth.......

I'm on day 5 of quiting after smoking daily for 15 years. I'm absolutely exhausted and feel like sh*t. I'm guessing it's normal since y'all are experiencing the same thing.

Former heavy user, quit 3 1/2 weeks ago. The fatigue is real. I exercise regularly and eat very healthy. It’s not very day I’m wiped out, but today is rough. I know I’m in the home stretch so I just have to deal with it for a little while longer.

It’s weird. I’ve quit multiple times before, same usage and fitness levels. Each time my withdrawal symptoms are somewhat varied. This time it’s the sleepies. Glad I found these posts, good to know it’s normal.

It’s like I’m dreaming about everything I’ve been putting in the back of my mind I’ve lost a lot of people close to me in the past few years and it’s like every time I sleep my dreams are filled with such vivid images of them every night to the point where I wake up and have to make sure they’re really gone

Just wondering if anyone who’s experience fatigue as withdrawal, has ADHD as well?

I’m not a long term user, in fact only tried it a few years ago, and it became such window to understanding myself, quickly. The past year I became a daily user. I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and complex PTSD as well within the past year. Meds are becoming hard to balance, and marijuana (indica specifically) seems to give me energy and focus, mental clarity. I was put on a prescription sleeping pill, as my insomnia has become increasingly bad. The medication was ineffective. Finally, I noticed that if I smoked more than once a day, I became agitated, restless and unsettled. I’m an effort to make balancing all my symptoms betters, I have went cold Turkey. My only withdrawal symptom is pretty extreme fatigue. It set in almost immediately. I went from up all night (yoga at 3am just to sleep, up again at 8am moving furniture

I quit 1 year 4 months ago. Smoked for 35 years. I can’t get off my couch. Absolutely no desire to do anything. No one can explain, not even my drs.

I chronically (no pun intended) smoked for over 25 years. I was in the marijuana industry so Constantly stoned. Ate 300mg of edibles daily, did dabs non stop, smoked MONSTER king size joints of the best exotic indoors. I also lived in Humboldt County for years and had a commercial pot grow. I recently quit cold turkey and its been a month. The first 2 werks were horrible with severe depression and anxiety. Dreams are super vivid and insane. Ive been getting better but still am very lethargic and I wake up super dehydrated every day. I just stay focused on being stronger than my environment. I look as failure is for the weak and this is a test of my will and I refuse to fail. It helps ALOT to eat healthy, drink nothing but water and teas and exercise daily. Ive been getting to bed easier now but am still tired. Just stick with it! You control your fate

Thank you for this. I'm just slowing down significantly and I'm super tired all day. Every article is saying the opposite happens, so I appreciate this post...I was on my way to the doc this week cause I thought I might have something.

Yes. Thank you for this. Here is a list of ex cannabis users saying that we are fatigued and John Hopkins says blah blah blah. Can the ppl with experience speak up, n those without just hush?

SAME! trying to study for med school finals and comps, 21 days off of weed and CANNOT STAY AWAKE. which sucks because quitting was also because it was messing with my concentration and ability to stay awake!
