i had a baby boy 6 months ago i had my tubes tied after the c-section i'm supposed to have my period on june 6 and guess what? it is missing today is 23 and i'm getting crazy!!!!
I am a 26 yr old mother of 3. I had my tubes tied almost 3 years ago. For the last 8 or 9 months my periods have been sperattic which is not normal for me. I've always been very regular. I've somehow gained 14 or 15 pounds since oct 08. My hormones must be messed up because one minute i'm fine and the next i'm hot and sweating like theres no tomorrow. It sounds crazy but I feel like i'm being kicked on a regular bases, i'm having trouble sleeping, I eat all the time and weird things. I have alot of headaches, I seem to be more clumbsy than usual, and i keep getting bladder infections. I'm looking for some addvice. Should I call my OBGYN and maybe have a blood test done to see if I am pregnant? Is it possible for me to be pregnant? !
Well I had a tubal done in 2001 which been 8yrs and I have not got pregant so I really dont think it possible.
i'm am 35 and had a tuble 13 years ago and now i have a big belly and sick alot can't eat and want sweets and feel like i got 2 pass out alot sleep alot and mood changes 2 my months are on time but not nothing just a lttle can i be having a baby again
I am 27 with 5 children and I had a tubal after the last one but now I have been having symptoms of being pregnant and the test was negative but I still have not gotten my period. I have left the father of my children and now I have a new person in my life who does not have any of his own so it would not be a bad thing if I was pregnant but I'm just confused because I feel pregnant but the test says otherwise. How long shold I wait before seeing a dr. And for those of you who had eptopic pregnancies do they show up on urine pregnancy test because I am worried that it could be that due to some pain on my right side.
I am a 34 year old woman who has three beautiful children. I had a tubal back in June 2000 and I have been thinking about having a baby but am not sure how to go about doing it. Is there a place where I can get good information. I want a baby for my boyfriend who has no children and I want to give him a child.
Any answers for this? I am 44 years old. I had an ovary removed at 18 and went on to have 3 pregnancies, one resulting in a miscarriage. I had my tubes tied 15 years ago and have not missed a period. For several months my period will come at the same time, then I may have one a few weeks later and it come at a different time of the month, but never not come. Is this early menopause or something else?
I know that it is hard taking care of children. GOd brings us all through things in our lifes for a reason. If you have doubts don't do anything at all just let be what is. Marriage is put through alot of tests too and if GOd give you this little miracle and you make it through it all together just know that you will have a stronger love for each other. I will pray for you and your family and all the others in your situation. Life is hard sometimes the hard times pass though we keep going and along the way alot of good comes too and it passes. Enjoy, we only have one life to live and we all go through good things and bad. We just have to sit back sometimes and let be what is and be positive even in a bad situation. I had one too and I have 3 kids it is hard I mess up no parent is perfect we just have to keep going and love as much as you can do as much as you can and find a way to except it all even unexpected things. The rest will fall into place. We all can learn alot from children they forgive so easily they adapt to everything and anything so well and still love with all their hearts. GOD BLESS YOU!!

Interesting to read the other posts. I am 32 years old. I had a tubal removal after my third child was born (Feb. 2003). Had procedure done called a Parkland Tubal Ligation. This is where a center section of the tubes are completely removed. The ends (there will be 4 now), are cauterized, and stapled 6 times each. My periods were irregular before the tubal. After having the procedure done, I became a lot more regular than before. I mense every 23 to 26 days, lasting 4-6 days each. I have been documenting my periods since early 2007, due to migraine headaches caused by the tubal ligation procedure! (nice little side effect the doctors don't tell you about!). My last period was August 30th. I have had no migraine at all since, multiple signs of pregnancy. 1 in 99 women, will have a condition where the hormone: human chorionic gonadotropin or (hCG), is either not strong enough or not present to change the HPT from negative to positive. This can also affect blood testing, depending on the hCG levels. I am one of these women. I have had 5 pregnancies, only 3 of them being live births. During all pregnancies, not only did I have normal periods for the first 3 months, but any form of pregnancy test did not come up positive until I was 4 months along. I went and bought a double pack HPT kit, knowing full well that IF I AM prego, they would not show up positive. Better to be safe than sorry, right?!?! I took one in the late afternoon, and another then next morning at around 5 am. Both were negative. I have a lab appointment on the 13th this month, and an actual doctors appointment on the 20th of this month. I had my tubes tied before meeting my fiance, so God willing, I will be able to give my fiance the baby he has always dreamed of having.
I have done some research, and so far have come up with a few things. I found in one medical report that the likelihood of getting pregnant after any kind of tubal ligation, is only 1% and the full term live birth pregnancy rate is also only 1%. I also came across an article stating that having any kind of tubal ligation, is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. Then there was the article that I read, stating that a Parkland Tubal Ligation is only 30% effective.
Here are some links to a couple of articles that I have found - though there are a LOT of other websites out there as well:

Be aware ladies, there is pregnancy after tubal ligation and I'm proof of the occurance. I'm a 53 year old with five grown persons (childrens), and for the last five months I've been trying to get the doctors to confirm my condition/pregnancy. However, after five different facilities and numerous urine tests and blood tests which all came back negative, people and family members are now talking about me like a crazy. Only me and the father of these (possible twins) know what we are facing. This has been a nightmare for me and must say that I do take some pleasure knowing that after all this time I could no longer have a choice to whether they would stay or go. Perphaps right now I'm going on six months along. And just last week after a emergency room visit, I've been referred to prenatal clinc.
But know...they're not in the proper place (outside the uterus) and still growing and moving.

To the 53 year young mama to be,
I have some questions: how long ago did you get your tubes tied and were they cauterized?
Are you okay and how will they deliver the twins if they are outside of the uterus?
I'm praying for you dear lady...I'm also going to get a pregnancy test this weekend because I am 50 years old and had my tubes tied 18 and 1/2 years ago. I am 3 weeks late on my period and thought oh great this is menopause but I'm nauseas every evening just like when I was pregnant and have the pains in my lower abdomen just like during pregnancy. I am so concerned. Take care.

My tubes have been tied for two years and my period cramps were terrible, My Dr. informed me that I should take ALEVE right before I come on or right after I come on and It's done wonders for my cramps now.. There only for cramps though, NOT head aches cause they don't work. They have a medicine in them that will stop the release in your body that causes cramps.. I swear by them on days that the dear old lady comes to visit me every month!!!
It will be 3 yrs in Nov that i've had my tubes tied. I just found out yesterday I am pregnant! I was suspecting pregnancy, Ive had tender breasts, abdominal cramping, and upset stomach. I took a test at the dr and at home which both came back with very noticable line. I went to the er last night to see if i may have a tubal but the ultrasound didnt show anything yet. My hcg levels were 60 which the er dr said was kinda low but then again their not sure how far i am. Im having another blood test tomorrow morning to see if my levels are rising. I wasnt expecting another baby, but now that i know im pregnant i really want this baby. I have a 5 and 3 yr old so a third would be nice :-D I have been experiencing some discomfort on my left side which has my dr and myself concerned so im hoping its nothing and everything is fine.
I had a tubal reversal in June and just found out I am pregnant!!
