That's simply not true.
Losing your virginity is not a physical thing, like your ear falling off; it's something that happens, like going to school. You can be a virgin and not bleed when you first have sex. This really is basic stuff that should be taught to people in sex education classes.

It depends because yes, she could've had sex before, but also some hymens are more loose then others. She could've been involved in various activities (ex. hard physical sports, or even horse back riding).
I was on my period! the next day after it ended, I fingered by just massaging , but hardly and I didn't insert my finger inside! then I found blood in my pants , I didn't know whether that means that I broke my hymen or it was still my closing period?! it was bright red but wasn't heavy , it kept decreasing the whole day until it turned to be dots of blood then it disappeared! and I don't even know what's meant by popping my cherry! and how can I find out but without letting anyone know even a doctor? and i actually just played with my finger and i didn't put it deeply inside, it didnt hurt me either! and I don't even know what's the hymen! Calm down. It's OK. That's happened to me before. It's most likely a result of of your left over period. I wouldn't recommend even thinking of fingering or " massaging" your self near your cycle. Also popping your cherry means that you basically broke your hymen. Now i am NOT doctor this is just suggestions and my experience.
and btw the blood didn't have the smell of the period! it didn't have any smell!

It is possible that he may have created a small tear in your Hymen. Usually this is not considered as breaking the Hymen as it will probably tear further when you have sexual intercourse for the first time.
