I have the same symptoms you mentioned in the last paragraph. Seemed to have started 2 years ago after a trip to Maui. Dry, tight lips, which end up raw and cracking, then they peel. And it is constant and never really goes away. I constantly use Aquaphor and it seems to help the best. I've been to several doctors and had allergy tests done, but no doctors have been able to help.

I think this is the case for me. I just don't know which hair product. For the last two months, after every shampoo & conditioner (& after I apply oil to my scalp), my lips swell up. Sometimes one, sometimes both. In addition to my lips swelling, my eye-lids also swell up. Sometimes one, sometimes both. A few days ago, both kinds of swelling happened, with the addition of my forehead swelling. The reaction only happens at the wee hours of the morning.Going to monitor the kind of products that I use after I wash my hair.

So did you find out what happen? I have a similar situation. I had a dry spot on my top lip yesterday so I put carmex on it. Later on that day the dry skin started to peal. Today I wake up to a swollen lip. ??????? Its right smack in the middle of my top lip! I have to work today and I know the customers are going to be looking at me like I'm crazy. Haha

Mangos are related to poison ivy. Many people react to them. Sounds like you are one of them.

Burts Bees, EOS and many other oil based chapsticks will have that affect in me. It can just be too oily for some sensitive skin. If I use normal chapstick brand then it works gine, if not then my the pores around my lips become inflamed and it is hard to differentiate where my lip starts and ends. It will also be itchy and hapstick does nothing to help if it is also oil based. Wax based chapstick works best in this case. But, lately I have been using chapstick brand on my lips before I go to bed and when I wake up my lips feel plumper and kind of "fluffy" ever since I got stung on the lip three times by a bee. Do you think this is a reaction to that incident or has it just been happening my whole life and I've never noticed it? Am I allergic to something in chapstick? May be some minor problems but just wondering if this has ever happened to somebody else.
