This just happened to me. I used tampax pearl plus absorbants for the first time and now I'm swollen and itchy.
I agree with the above. As a a female and a practitioner, I believe it is presumptive to put tamponds and sexual activity together. I was 12 years old when I had my first menses and used a tampond without any pain or discomfort. Many athletic females tear hymen prior to sexual activity without any knowledge. Young girls should not have any fear or concerns with requesting tampomda being associated with sexual activity. I have never heard such a thing!!!!

Me too!! Tampax pearl, first time. didn't happen with the cardboard applicator ones.
First and foremost, if this happens, please, tell your parents. If you don't want to tell them you had sex, fine, just tell them you put a tampon in and now it hurts. Your health is important. My sister's 1 year old couldn't tell anyone she was sick and nearly died from an untreated UTI. Your parents care more about your health. But hey, look at it as an opportunity to convince them you need birth control while you're at it, two birds with one stone.
