I have the problem. My right side of my neck is swollen, my jaw is messed up and that aches like heck and alos an ear infection . I was puking before i got this so i hope its nothing seroius.
I found out what is wrong with me, it had nothing to do with the lymph nodes apparently its common for peoples lymph nodes to be mildly swollen. The soar throat I have is being caused by muscles spasms in my throat due to me not using my voice properly when I talk. This could be the case with some of you so I suggest you go see a throat/voice specialist. As it doesn't go away without treatment such as speech therapy where they teach u how to speak properly, this is what im undergoing now so hopefully im better soon but im pretty sure it takes bout 4-5 months to fully heal. hope this helps some of yall aswell.
peace out
peace out
I had streap throat for the first time ever since I was eight and had my toncils removed. I have gone through 2 medicadions and felt better when on the drug, but as soon as I stopped taking them the pain returned. They retested and the streap is gone, but the pain is still there and the glands are still swollen. Its been more than a month and something is still wrong with my throat. The doctors don't know whats wrong. Does anyone have any ideas?
I have similiar symptoms to toher posts...sore throat that won't go away, lymph problems. As far as I can tell what this is is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Do a google search.
Yeah I have had this same problem for 4 months now, and my sister has had it for 3 years so we were thinking its maybe hereditary. But neither of us know what it is and medications(Amoxicillian) don't do anything. Like literally nothing. I am constantly tired and I feel like im dying.
My throat lymph nodes/tonsils are swollen and squeezing my Uvula. I am constantly choking and swallowing. Sometimes I can hardly talk and I can feel my voice change pitch. I also have ear aches and cloggy nose problems. It was like this when I first got it, than the pain went away but my tonsils were still swollen. Now its hurting again, like the pain comes and goes, but the problem is always there. SOME Doctors tell me it's strep throat, others say it's just a sore throat that will go away. I KNOW THEY ARE WRONG.
I'm thinking maybe I need to get my tonsils removed? Is this some weird new thing no one has ever heard of? I'm only 16 and I don't want to continue life like this forever. :'(

I've never had swollen glands as long as described here, but the following has helped me. Might be worth a try for you.
Use essential oil - lemon oil & rub gently into the swollen spot. Try to rub in one direction, downwards when gland in the neck. I have also had success in eliminating swelling in lymph glands by using a heavy duty type vibrating massager on the gland. It will hurt some but as I said it has worked really quickly for me.
Good luck!!

the reason you get this is because you aren't/weren't singing properly. you should check out a book called "Set Your Voice Free." it tells you how to breath properly. thats the problem. however, the only solution i've heard of is surgery.
i also have the same problem and its been a year since my problem came about and it is annoying as hell
I have had cancer in my throat and none of the several different types of scans I had showed it all, you need to have a biopsy done on one of the swollen lymph nodes to know for sure if it's cancerous or not. Trust me the sooner you know the better, I almost didn't make it out of surgery whole because mine was the worse case that my surgeons had ever seen someone live thru.
Please take this seriously and insist on a biopsy, I know the doctors don't always like to listen, supposedly I was too young to have cancer (that's what one of the doctor's told me). I was 25 when I was diagnosed, I had a lump on my neck (swollen lymph node) for 6 years and they didn't do a biopsy for me until another lump showed up. Maybe if I had a biopsy sooner I wouldn't have had such extensive surgery (5 hours), a complete thyroidectomy and 7 cancerous tumors removed. I also have massive scarring.
I hope this helps you, and good luck to you.

I have similar kind of throat problem, I feel right side of my throat bone has extended and swellon when i touch bone i find harder then the right bone. I find this very irritating and depressive. All this problem appeared after i had sore/ strep throat, over dose of antibiotics caused blister in throat then I stopped all antibiotics and any medication. My doctor says it is because of depression only but I feel swelling or hardness in my right side throat bone can any one help me???

Hey guys, wanted to give a shout out to all the homies who are sick like I am. Went to hospital with severely swollen lymph nodes on the left side of my neck. The doc said well you have a sore throat. I said why am I tired all the time? I`ve had strep before but it never affected my lymph nodes like this. Love and light out there gang I know we have the strength to survive! Peace

I have had slightly swollen lymph nodes for a couple of years now. If I leave the window open at night and it just gets a little chilly in the room, it will really make them hurt bad. Also have had this bad back of my head headaches that people have been talking about. I didn't think they were related, but they may be.
If it is cancer, can cancer be spread through sex? My partner seems to have the same problems, but worse. I'm a 21 year old male, partner is almost 20 years old and female.
Not to sound like a rioting hippy, or whatever this may be taken as, but at this day and age, it makes me wonder all the time if terrorists overseas haven't poisened things like our water, cigarettes, food, or anything like that with something they have made, or anything. Just think about it, it's highly possible. Problems like we have now didn't exist 100+years ago. Cancer, also, is increasingly popular these days.

I greatly appreciate the time you took to reply to my thread. I guess this is good and bad, I went had a ct scan on my throat and it showed nothing sinister except the lymph nodes swollen! I'm taking all these vitamins etc to try build up my immune system but unfortunately so far there is no change and my throat still feels horrible and the lymph nodes are still swollen and the doctors don't know why!
Any other ideas, or has anyone ever experienced this or something similar & gotten rid of it?

try checking your thyroid and also maybe checking for lymphoma My grandmother had both problems...luckily she is in remission but just a thought
I have had swollen glands in my neck, jaw area for over a year now. They come and go, sometimes they are very painful and other times not so. I will get a sore neck and a scratchy throat. Sometimes the pain will go into my ears. Usually worse on the right side. I have had many blood tests which are all normal. Also an ultra sound on my neck and thyroid. All normal, just showing that the glands in my neck are slightly, but not dangerously enlarged... slightly bigger on the right side.
One doctor told me this can be chronic. The result of an infection that caused the glands to enlarge and then they do not return to normal. I had had shingles three years ago. He said that would do it. It bothers me that there is no one answer and I am wondering if I should get tests on my esophagus and throat to make sure there is not cancer. My doctor who I have had for years and who is very good is monitoring any changes, and so far there has not been anything significant. When it acts up I feel like I am coming down with a sore throat or cold. I never feel completely ok.
