I have been suffering from severe nausea. Upper abdominal pain and dry heaves for over a month. I've had a battery and was told I have a hiatal hernia, Barrett's esophagus and pancreatitis. However all of my blood work has been normal even for the pancreas(which appeared to be inflamed on a CT scan) I've been put on many different medications and still no relief whatsoever. I'm at a loss and becoming very discouraged with all of the medical professionals. Any suggestions?

I had very similar symptoms to many people who have posted here over the past year. I have been back and forth to the doctor, ER, specialists and had many negative tests over the course of about six months. Since I was already diagnosed with migraines, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and conversion syndrome I knew it was up to me to try some things on my own to feel better. So I began to read research studies about people who couldn't stop throwing up, pooping, cramping, losing their appetite, burping etc and what experimental treatments were tried. Well, it turned out that for me, crushing up many of my current migraine medicines helped. When I saw my PCP again she had a light bulb and diagnosed me with abdominal migraines! Rare in adulthood, no one had considered them before. My case is serious. I take topamax as a prophylactic to lessen their impact and frequency, sumatriptan, zofran, a clear liquid antihistamine and warm water with honey and ginger at on set. Good luck!

See a gastroenterologist. It sounds like gastritis to me.

This probably is a case of irritable bowel syndrome you are suffering from. It is relationated to the symptoms you have mentioned above. It’s a chronic condition, no life threatening, very common among knowdays population. You should seek for help, to treat your symptoms mostly.
