lately i feel like i have to constantly have to urine even after ive just went to the bathroom, im starting to get scared now, cuz i have no idea what it could be, iit jus recently started happening, there is no pain during or after urinated just the sensation that i have to go
I have the same thing, it's been happening for about a week too. Really annoying!! Unfortunately I can offer no advice for treatment as of yet, my mom is calling the doctor to ask about it soon. But I think it's probably a urinary tract infection. Have you had any blood at all in your urine? I had a little bit this morning, but other than the blood and urge to wee I don't really have other symptoms. Hope we find out how to fix this!!

Hi:-) I got up this morning, and felt the urge to go to pee... nothing out of the ordinary there... but even after I peed, I still felt the need to go. I thought the sensation might pass, but it didnt, and I've been feeling like I need to use the bathroom constantly: although it's worse when I stand up.
I spoke to my mum about it, and apparently I could have somehing called Cystitis, which is common in women, mainly teenage, and involves bacteria in the urinary tract- which is caused because women have a shorter urethra, which means bacteria outside the body are more liable to get inside. It can also be caused by 'wiping' in the wrong direction- from back to front, rather than front to back. This can carry bacteria excreted as 'poo' into the urinary tract, where it latches on and makes you life miserable.
Either way, there are pills you can buy over the counter to cure the infection- and as it is very common, you have nothing to be embarrassed about when asking for them. Here are some websites that might give you some moe information:
netdoctor.co.uk/diseases/facts/cystitis.htm
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cystitis
I hope this helps:-)

I just started having this problem. What the guest above me said (about Cystitis) can be true. Cystitis is a specific type of UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).

UTIs are pretty common, mainly in women. I found online that at least half of us women will get at least one UTI in our lifetime. It's not a lifelong 'disease' that you need to worry about.. just uncomfortable when you have it.

All you'd have to do is go to the doctors and they'd most likely tell you to leave a urine sample so they can test it. The test usually only takes a couple of minutes because all they do it dip a 'stick-like' thing into the urine. (Sort of like how pregnancy tests are done).

I actually went to the doctor today because it was bothering me so much at work. She prescribed me some meds to take care of it. I was in and out of the office in about 15-20 minutes.

There's a lot of signs for UTIs also (adding onto what the guest above me said). Things like:
Having the sensation to go to the bathroom
Some blood in the urine
Burning sensation
etc..

Doesn't mean you'll have all symptoms, but I'm sure if you have one or two, you should get it checked out anyway. Better be safe than sorry, right?

Hopefully this helps you out.

If there is no infection present this could be interstitial cystitis. Do ask to be referred to a urologist for help.

I am currently having the same problem as you. About a week ago, out of the blue, I got up to go to the bathroom in the morning, and after I "relieved myself", I had to go again not 5 minutes later! And ever since then, It has been happening all day, everyday for over a week. The uti test i had done came out negative, so the doctor suggested i may have interstitial cystitis, which is like an incurable u.t.i with no bacteria that shows up on the u.t.i tests, and can be a recurring problem throughout life. i may need to have a surgery called hydrodistention surgery to confirm that i have interstitial cystitis. the doctor also said the surgery can and has actually cured people of the cystitis...just by having the surgery done. in the meantime though, i got another doctor to prescribe me bactrim, an antibiotic, just in case i do have bacteria in my bladder, and the test missed it (this has happened to me many times. it won't show up at the doc's but it will show up when i go to the emergency room a day later)...so i have been taking bactrim for almost two days now, and maybe seen a little improvement, if any at all. in the meantime, i have also been taking a couple of OTC drugs called Cystex, and Uristat. I believe Uristat is like a drug called Peredium (not sure if i spelled that right), that doctors prescribe for the "frequent urge to have to go all the time"...sometimes those medications help me, other times they don't. But right now, i am trying everything because this is the most complicated bladder infection/problem i have ever had in my life! First i took an antibiotic powder (i forgot the name) that you mix in a drink and it tastes like oranges. it's some kind of antibiotic that stays in the system for 7 days and adheres to the bladder lining to kill the bacteria. i thought thia worked for me because after 2 days, i felt fine, but 2 days after that, it came back and now i feel crappy again. but it may work for you, so ask your doc about it. If you have cystitis, there are certain meds that can alleviate the pain for certain people, such as anti depressants and medications called Cystitat and Elmiron. If you don't have a uti, you may want to start thinkng about asking your doctor about the possibility of cystitis. There are also some home remedies (a lot described already) that you can try. You can also take lots of vitamin c daily- this can help soemtimes. But be sure to get a uti test soon. If you can't make it to the doctor yet, but need to know if you have a uti asap, you can buy (or order online at drugstore.com) a urinary tract infection test. It's done like a pregnancy test and costs about $10-14. It comes with two tests and tests for nitrates and something else...don't remember...but you can take that, and call your doc, tell him it came out positive (if it did) and he may prescribe antibiotics over the phone. It is a fact that more and more doctors are prescribing antibiotics for uti's over the phone, without having to see the patient, just by the patient describing their symptoms to the doc. (that is what i just did). Hope this helps. Good luck.

You likely have a bladder or uninary track infection.
Put 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in a glass of water and drink it.
Do this three times a day......you'll get relief in just a few hours. Keep this up for 2 or 3 days...and you'll be good as new. :-D

UTI symptoms are:
Urgency
Frequency
Dwindling amounts though you feel like you have a lot
Pain during and even after you voided
Smelly/foul urine

signs are:
cloudy urine
maybe a tinge of blood

You can buy a kit at Walgreen that screens for UTIs. The urine has to have been in the bladder for 4 hours or more. It's best to do it when you first wake up in the more, hence that's when the urine is more acidic.

Ok so I have had just about the same things as everyone has mentioned above. I am 17 years old and a senior in high school and my 'urge to go' is practically ruining my life at school, home, and even work! Here are my symptoms::

About two weeks ago I started having VERY foul smelling urine.
Then about a week and a half ago I started getting the urge 'to go'.
Now::

It's gotten so bad that in the mornings I will stay on the toliet for up to thirty minutes, hoping that if I'm relaxed I can pee more. Then I have the sensation to go the entire day, I go frequently and when I need to go, it's not a gradual thing. I suddenly REALLY have to go and I find myself running to the restroom every hour to really go, then not very much comes out.

I went to my doctors 4 days ago and they scanned my for a UTI. I can out negative and even mentioned that there was a little blood in my urine. My doctor said that i was probably spasms in my urethra caused my bacteria, but that was it. I didn't get anymore of an explaination, nor a diagnosis.

I'm just wondering if anyone out there knows of any OTC drugs that will help this! It would be sooo greatly appreciated!

there is a over that counter medication that can help with your pain. It is called azo standard. If your urinary symptoms dont get better see your doctor again. you could have urethritis. they can put you on an antibiotic to clear it up. If you take the azo standard it will help you feel better but it does not heal you and you will need to see your doctor again. I on the other hand have felt like I have to pee all the time since i got pregnant 6 years ago. I have been tested for a uti numerous times, I have been tested for inacticial cyctitis. I have seen a urologist. I am in pain every damn day and am loosing my mind. I am about to go back and take a different direction. maybe it is a hormone thing. I dont know. i am very frustrated. anybody else having this problem?

Drink cranberry juice. A lot of it. Something in cranberries gets rid of it. If it doesn't go away after drinking that for like 2 days, then call a doctor to get the pills you need to make it go away.

Vinegar is acidic, doing that will make the passing of urine more uncomfortable and sting. The idea is to avoid acidic stuff isnt it?
