Sounds like allergies.
LOL; just kidding; couldn't resist, lol
I'm here because I have neon-orange globules too. They come out at an alarming volume every couple days when I am leaning over the sink and gently trying to purge my nose a bit.

Has anyone checked your nasal passages for polyps or permanently swollen turbinates?
I had what I thought was a chest infection... (I smoke) so I stopped smoking.... felt like I couldn't breathe.... after about 5-6 days of feeling sh*t, and waking up in the night coughing, drinking plenty of water, and loading myself up with vitamin C and cough sweets my chest felt like it cleared and I could breathe again but then my sinuses started to feel blocked!
(I basically lived at the ear nose & throat doctor as a kid) so I always expect the worst. I've had my tonsils out, a vein cortorised in my nose and I was born partially deaf in my left ear and used to suffer from earache all the time. I had the nose pouring out water and I thought it was a nose bleed at first, but it was bright yellow.... blew my nose next day and again a ridiculous amount of bright yellow snot.
The next day (today) I woke up feeling like I was getting an earache and a bit headachey aswel. One almighty blow of my nose and again ridiculous amount of orange snot... but all day felt much clearer.... my chest is still quite wheezy and my ear feels as though my hearing is coming back (left one - the normally slightly deaf one)
I assumed it was because of my left ear I was getting it all on the left side... but obviously not. All the snot and the ear pain has been the left side for me too. Hopefully this is the last part of it.
Certainly made up my mind about quitting smoking now aswel.
Hope this helps anyone with a timeframe it's been about 8/9 days for me.
Drink plenty of water to help clear your congestion. Definitely STOP smoking if you do. Even if you really want one. Take it from a smoker. (Coughed til I nearly passed out and then felt like I'd collapsed my lungs)

We'll I'm on the path for some forum answers, but seems like everyone has come up dry, eventually.
I too have the orange snot and it's snot subsided. I had a clear mucus for a couple of days, I guess my antibodies doing what they're supposed to be doing. Last night the coughing/weezing was in full effect. Snoting yellow stuff through nose and coughing up green stuff. Today the nose would stop and pretty much a constant trickle of orange, so annoying. Then later today some flew like symptoms start showing. Clammy/surface chilly.
Now, I do smoke cannabis/cigarettes. I always take this into account.
But how many of you don't smoke at all? This next part requires a sense of observation and some piecing of what the sky looked like that day.
The last couple of days it's been really over-cast/chem-trials lines. Do the research on Aluminum, Barium, Strontium. All of the these compounds are heavy metals in particulate form, being sprayed from above. These chemical heavy metals are toxic to all biological life forms. That being I have notice our two cats and one dog having an increase in skin irritations, scratching, sluggishness, and some vomiting from the cats.
Now I was thinking it was just picking up flu shedding from the kids getting back in school. Haven't ruled out this as a possibility. But my intuition says looks up next time and keep a mental note or take a picture.
I'm no MD, but I grew up next to Miramar Air Force Base, now a Marine base, watching the take offs and landings. Anyone with common sense can tell the difference in-between a con and and a chem - trail. Contrails pretty much disappear immediately, and chemical-particulate-trails, don't.

I had black mucus coming out of the nose, so I used a nasal spray with no avail. What else I can try?
What ended up being the full diagnosis for your wife ? I've been coughing ''orange goo'' for over 6 years now and haven't been to the doctors since I haven't really been getting worst. I noticed that if I don't force myself to spit it out, my right ear kind of pops out (like when you're in higher altitudes) and I hear like I'm under water (my own voice echoes in my skull) it also causes me sluggish thinking , brain fog.. Was it the same for your wife ?
