I don't know if anyone is still on this thread but I've been in the exact same shoes as everyone here seeking remedies for the unsightly shaving bump scars in the bikini area and I can confidently say I've found a solution!! None of that natural remedy honey and lemon c**p because that takes light years to work if at all it does. I've tried all that and nothing worked for me so In a last ditch attempt to find a solution before resigning to my fate of celibacy/no cute bikini pictures ever, I mentioned the problem to my pharmacist really casually and she gave me something that has now changed my life! It's called BITHIOL 10% cream! I wish I could attach a picture but apparently I can't. Go google it and do some research if you will but I'm telling you in 2 weeks most of the scars (and I had a TON that had gathered over the years) had faded significantly. It's a really cheap little oitment that doesn't have the most pleasant smell but with how effective it is even if it smelled like horse sh*t I would still smear it all over! I don't know how it works but it doesn't bleach your skin just fades all kinds of scars or discolourations. I used it for a month and then the scars were barely visible so I got CAROTONE BLACK SPOT CORRECTOR to lighten the area and voila! Years of horrible scarring gone in a little over a month. Thank me later, guys.

I really need this to work! I basically have to mention oral to my fiance nowadays, how embarassing. I am a woman of color, do you think it will still have such great effect on my skin?

Start waxing avoid shaving completely! I had the same issues after my first wax session I saw major results! I started to exfoliate everyday in the shower and also use bleaching creme on my bikini line and top of my area the bumps aren't quite all gone but I can tell they will be completely clear soon. Also they sell a serum at European wax for ingrown hairs and blemishes also give u samples of their exfoliant and body lotion after your first sesh. Don't be embrassed :)

Lemon and brown sugar work actually any kind of citrus fruit and sugar works, because citrus acts as a blessing agent and the sugar is the perfect size for exfoliating. Your going the bumps because of shaving and waxing, you have three options. 1 go all natural and cut, shave wax nothing 2 trim get an electric shaver and cut the hair close to the skin but don't shave it totally off (you'll still have to exfoliate and be careful off getting ingrown hairs but it's allot allot less) or 3 and I haven't tried this personally use nair, some people says this works amazing for them while done have had it darken their skin so that's more at your own risk. I hope this helps as one girl with crazy thick curly jungle hair to another.

After. But I usually wait till the next day then do it, it won't burn as bad, put a warm towel on there first to open the pores then apply the lemon juice and brown sugar.

I feel like I'm reading my own thoughts. I started shaving very young as well. I'm now 42. While I no longer have the bumps on my bikini area, I still have the dark marks. In the past I've used fade creams, and then I started wearing boy short bikinis. I would love to wear regular bottoms, but the marks. if anyone has any suggestions, I'm open.

DO NOT PUT LIME OR LEMON ONTO YOUR SKIN! NO! Its true that it has bleaching properties but it is acidic which can chemically burn you pubic area over time. Lemons are not for skin! Lemons acid can cause MORE hyperpigmentaion and create horrid results. Do not do this use Ambi or a patse of turmeric powder.

Do u use the lemons and brown sugar after you shave or before you shave. Can you just use lemon juice instead of lemons with brown sugar.

sheshallbeok using raw lemons or lime on the skin is very dangerous. It can damage the skin cells, cause burns and hyperpigmentation. Please to dilute it with water or add a little to a facial scrub.
