Yes it does. Do not use raw lemon, lime, orange or any other citrus fruit directly on the skin. Make a paste with a facial scrub, flour or sugar. Also make a solution with lime juice and water; 1;3 ratio. Tea tree essential oil and coconut oil mixture is real good. Just remember that essential oils can be poisonous if used in the wrong proportion.
3-4 drops tea tree essential oil/ lavender oil
2tbsp coconut oil/olive oil
I realize no one is saying it but you can just get a lightening jel or cream.
Always exfoliate first with the lime paste or lime solution, let it dry and add your cream, jel or oil mixture....or you can you both, just at different times of the day so that don't mix with each other.

Thanks so much for this it helped me a lot
I would like to get more info about the regimend. How can I?
Can you give more info about how to get rid of the dark marks after razor bumps are gone?
It's not good to shave you'll get more of the dark spots on your vaginal area, so if I were you I'd find an alternative to get rid of my hair in the area
Or you could just leave the hair sticking out both sides, guys love that. When I was 16 my 15 yo gf did that. I loved to pull on it. I think she liked it too.
What cream did you use?
Should i use it everyday for two weeks
I suffer with the same thing and I'm too a woman of color. I've tried everything!! Nothing works I will try the lemon thing see how it goes. Thanks
Talk to your mom, she'll understand better
May you help me

Best answer for sure!
I have had this issue for close to 20 years and feel your plight! I am also mixed and my mom nor my sister have this issue, so I've been experimenting with various products and found a working solution, which is: exfoliation, coconut oil, lemon as a natural brightener, epilators are a God send after getting use to it and Tendskin.
Here is what I have learned so far:
1. veet and other chemucal hair removers cause chemical burns that take a year to heel.
2. not all waxing suits are clean and you will suffer from infectiom if by chance you go tp one. This includes expensive and famcy places.
3. picking put you at a 3 to 6 month healing process of scars.
I was told by my dermatologist to either add an epilator, exfoliate and moisturizing routine for life or get the hair permanently removed by a doctors office specializing with skin of a wide range of colors.
I'm saving up for progessional permanent hair removal (est 6k for partial brazilian) since some women experience burns, and crazy pigment issues with certain lasers ment for paler skined people.

A good exfoliator is the wizker ($10). This and tendskin are awesome together.
