I’m so depressed 6 weeks post op and I still look like Frankenstein hit by Mac truck. Bald Frankenstein because I have unexpected shaved hair and thick thick scabs in a loooooooong incision over my entire head ear to ear over top in addition to back and front ear incisions (as expected) and UNEXPECTED angry TWO inch traditional incision under my chin. Hash tag incision like Frankenstein. Three hematomas and the expected tight weird skin. Still have two black eyes. They are fading but I’d have to be a circus clown to successfully cover these with makeup. Going from a no-makeup person to pancake makeup is more obvious than the black eyes. Then I got more depressed as I hide and google because all that pops up is in 2-3 weeks no one can tell. Are you freaking kidding me? I get double takes when I venture out because I look so beat up and misshapen. I seriously hate my doctor for not being upfront. And I hate all these internet docs including the one from this site that state 2-3 week heal time. What a crock. Please someone reply to me I’m so sad. Job strife now, personal life problems because I’m dropped off the radar. This was a private thing I wanted to keep private but that is looking to be impossible at this point. Please reply.

Coronal brow lift is still bleeding into eye sockets and cheeks causing bruising all over face, mostly black eyes as gravity pulls it down. It's a surprise every day to see where the bruising will appear. I am 9 weeks post op. Internet searches show rosy outcomes and marketing propaganda posted by plastic surgeons. I am devastated. 3 cm swatch of bald like a headband over entire crown of head, ear to ear. Dermatologist second opinion says follicles look dead, referred me to hair transplant doctor. I used to be an attractive woman with a little turkey neck. Now I am a deformed freak. Surgeon just says "looks good" when I see him and tries to push me to his high school cosmetology aesthetician. For more money in his pocket of course, after I paid him close to 20k because he went to a fancy school and was supposedly so experienced. IT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD. Does he think I'm an id**t with bottomless pit of money and time? Did you get a coronal brow lift? They are old school and TEN PERCENT CHANCE of permanent hair loss, significant dramatic hair loss to reveal a NASTY incision scar. Claims that it is extremely rare are LIES. TEN PERCENT IS THE TRUE RISK.
I have medical doctors with fancy degrees trying to tell me to style my hair different. Like I didn't think of that OMG! With the coronal lift it is bald and nasty scar over entire head - no way to pull off a comb over.
With neck it is the subtle change as promised and I can see the future because it is healing pretty good. But scars, bruising and swelling are still significant. I'm 9 weeks post op. I guess the trauma to top of head is bleeding into neck and cheeks causing delayed healing.
"First do no harm". Malarky.
