This may be a bit of a long one but the symptoms described in this thread are so like my own. For about three years I had a terrible ache in my left kdney area. The pain was quite severe and somewhat resticted my movement. It ached like hell when lifting things. Over the last few years I was a heavy smoker and also drank excessively. This ache worried me greatly but I did not seek help because I thought that I really should stop drinking and smoking first. About eighteen months ago I stopped smoking, became T-total overrnight and started to excersise (aged 50). Over this period the ache in the kidney and left flank has subsided greatly, although I can still feel it in my lower flank, hip area, at the top of my left leg and slightly in my left tiesticle. However now I am experiencing a really uncomfortable feeling in by lower left abdomen. If I tried to pinpoint it I would iamgine it was where my left ureter joined my bladder. It can best be described as an aching slightly burning feeling all around that area, but concentrated around where the fold would be if I crossed my left leg over my right. It is slightly worse if I do sort of half cross my legs, if that makes sense. I have an uncomfortable urge to pass water a lot of the time, and in the night. Its kind of a throbbing ache. The flow of urine is good but lacks any real, 'whoosh' however hard I try. I have had a blood test, urine test and an ultrasound. I am waiting to see the doctor for the official results, but doctor's receptionist has already told me that there does no appear to be any problems with any of the tests. The sypmtoms described here by others seem remarkably similar to my own and this is the first time I have ever seen them described like this. I hope this may help others and if anyone can help me, please - go right ahead! Thanks. Steve.

Im a 21 yr old male

I have lower left inguinal pain, lower left back pain lowest part of back along hips, get upset stomach with anything i eat or dont eat.

inguinal pain feels like it shoots down through the testicles down in that area between anus and scrotum into the thigh up into the lower left back... they are pretty consistant with each other.

the pain has slowly gotten worse over time, i remember it first hurting over a year and half ago. as it has gotten worse so has my energy levels... i feel pretty weak now, i used to work out all the time exercise.. mostly use my own body weight in my exercises so never really power lifting anything. I also have erection problems, levitra helps get more erect but it goes away just like it does with out it.

i hurting my lower inguinal once when i had another guy perform a firemans carry on me, tip of his should hit that same spot and while he ran with me on shoulders it jabbed that spot over and over it hurt alot but didnt feel like it tore anything you know.. just burned and stung for a little bit. The other injury i have was to my T7 vertebrae compression fracture.. this was also around 2 years ago.

ive had a scrotal ultrasound, xrays, a pelvic MRI, examinations by a few docs and erologist. I have quite a list of meds now... none seem to do much for me.

anyone have advice..
next im getting referred to a pain management clinic or something.

also this past weekend i found a hard bump in the upper part of scrotum on left side. if i were to follow my inner thigh up and around to scrotum i would run into it... its it a hard spot and none of the docs really touched there... but its a little more exposed when i start to get erect

26 male, i also have been feeling a dull pain in my lower left abdomen sometimes its sharp but thats rare , its causes me to have bad anxiety which doesnt help my situation...it all started about 2 months ago , took a gerny to the E.R they cat scanned me of course came back clear, checked my colon came back clear so the doctor in the E.r quickly diagnosed me with "gastritis" but im not 100% with that idea,im no wheres near a doctor but its driving me up the wall how it comes and goes, and somtimes feels tender, and a whole lot of twitching, also experiencing little warm feeling , and naussiated...i have an appointment with a hernia specialist tomm. iv already had hernia sugery before.. this feels different , so see we all have somthing in common where we all seem healthy and active, worrying about it is just makeing it worse..my guess is its either stress related (i own my own business so im constantly stressed) or id say some sorta bacteria...but its driving me insane..anyone else experiencing anxiety with it?. is it makeing it worse? or what i might have?

Im feeling the same thing ever since Mid-May... I have done all the blood work in the world along with abdominal and lumbar spine xray, all of which have come back normal.

Im reluctant to get a CT Scan - but Im hoping that this is just a muscle strain

I am a 33 year old male who seems to have the same or very similar problem. I first started experiencing pain about one year ago after doing lunges while exercising. The pain first originated in the groin area but started radiating up to my lower back on the left side after a few weeks. I can find some relief of the back pain by deep tissue massage. It almost feels like a tight musscle. When I twist from side to side, when I sit in a chair at my desk or while driving I feel it more. I thought it could be related to hernia or weight gain. I had a physical and blood tests (for employment purposes) and I mentioned it, but the doctor didn't know what would be causing it. She checked me for hernia but she said that was not a problem. I do not have health insurance yet but am waiting for that to kick in just incase I need surgery and don't want to pay out of pocket for it. My mind has thought testicular cancer, colon cancer, hernia, muscle strain, as well as many other things. I also have found blood in my stool. I am not sure if it is serious or if it is a anal fissure. The more I put down the more serious it seems. I know I need to get checked but am waiting for insurance to start first. Any info you can provide would be great.

I have been reading this thread as well (I'm 17 and had these symptoms for a couple months now). I recently got off heroin. I think this could really be it for me. It makes perfect sense, as I also have trouble peeing at times (no, not just from being high on opiates). Thank you. I will investigate and post my findings.

I have had it for about 7 months. It started right after I tried some new ab work out. I am a obese man that eats horrible and had no buisness doing such excercise. I think if I just clean up my lifestyle and take better care of myself this will eventually go away. I have read every posy on here and it seems like there is a lot of people with the same affliction. I have yet to read about anyone finding it to be something seriouse. I think this is proof enough that we will all be OK. just a little uncomfortable.

OMG! this site has been soooo helpfull. I am a 27 year old male and have been having digestive problems for over a year now. My doctor scheduled me for a colonoscopy, but I canceled due to financial issues(six months back). Recently my lower left abdomen has had a blunt pain that just won't go away. I can't sleep at night, and am having nightmares when I do. I have been searching the net for an explanation. I was constantly describing it as a pelvic pain though, and could never find anything that matched my symptoms. This diverticulosis is my ailment, I am sure of it... I really appreciate everyone for sharing and helping me prove to myself that I am not crazy... I will go to the doctor ASAP(I promise)...

thanks all.

a piece of advice, isn't it obvious, there is nothing wrong physically, one of my doctors said it's stress related and she was right..

instead of doing all those x-rays and ct scans or whatever, why don't you try overcoming your stress.. some of those things your doctors gave you have nothing to with it, they were after the PLACEBO effect, it might work on you.. the only flaw was, you never trusted them and you want something like a paper or a medical certificate telling you you've only got 2 more days to live and one of your balls' about to fall 2mrw, lol..

get a stress reliever, it works.. consult your psychotherapist/ psychiatrist/ psychologist perhaps, i know it'll help.. don't get paranoid, you are physically healthy..

but for those who feels severe pain, don't waste your time at google, go to the best hospital in town and get examined..

34 year old male, over weight\obese 280 lbs, 5' 10" - For the last few weeks I've had a dull, but noticable discomfort in my lower left abdomen coupled with occasional pain in my testicles. It becomes more pronounced after eating. It isn't a sharp pain by any means. It's more of a discomfort likened to a blockage, more than a painful event. It is becoming a tad worse the last few days. I'm going to make an appointment with my doctor to see if it is Diverticulitis, or if there is a need for testing to determine the issue. Anyone else have similar symptoms with a similar age and weight?

That's exactly what I have at the moment, I am 38 and very worried (the stress probably isn't helping either!

I saw the doctor last week, I have a small hernia in my belly button (diagnosed years ago but not big enough to require a repair apparently) but she doesn't think its related to this.

I get no discomfort when stood up or lying down but it gets worse when I am sat up or driving.

Has anyone had a solution that has relieved this (the doc has put me on some tablets for two weeks as she thinks it may be a prostate infection - as I felt a bit of pain when she poked it with her finger but it was as she would have expected for someone of my age. I'm now 5 days in to the antibiotics and it is certainly no better

When I wake up in the morning it is fine, but when I then do up my belt and start sitting the pressure there seems to effect it.

If anyone has any ideas what this may be I'd greatly appreciate any advice
