I would definitely suggest getting a test for a kidney infection... this can kill you so do it ASAP, especially if it's on both sides.

I am a 25yr old male with the same pain in my lower left abdomen extending down to my testicle. It is not too painful, some days I don't notice it at all but other times it makes my wince a little. It has been going on for about a year but started to be more uncomfortable lately. I'm waiting for sti results. It could be chlamydia and gonnorhea or maybe its just gas. It could be due to sitting at a desk all day.

I'm a 16 year old male and I have had this problem just only recently today (about an hour ago to now, still going). I see you guys have had it a lot longer than I have, but I seem to feel it in the same situations you guys do... It isn't that painful it's just mostly uncomfortable and much more noticeable when I straighten my back.. and as I type this I've realized it mostly went away lol... Hm =\

Last night I also did a lot of leg lifts to work my lower abs so maybe this is why?

I'm a 59 year old male, weigh 450 lbs and am on SSD. I have had a pain in my lower left side for three or four years now that comes and goes. My doctor seems to think that it's a hernia, but when I drink alcohol it goes away for a couple of days. My left testicle has been overly sensitive most of my life and very tender. It is the worst in the morning when I have to pee, but seems to subside a little afterwards. I would like to get a cat scan to see if there is anything I need to worry about. My care giver is so slow in refering me to any needed tests (it took him 2 years to schedule me for a colonoscopy, where they found 3 polyps) but I don't want to push him because he accepts Medicare and not many doctors do these days.

A Real Pain.

I HAVE BEEN TO THE HOSPITAL 4 TIMES WITHIN A MONTH FOR THIS ISSUE! THE FIRST TIME THEY SAID I WAS BLOCKED SO THEY GAVE ME SOME MILK A MAG. THAT DIDN'T HELP! THE NEXT TIME THEY SAID THE SAME THING SO THEY GAVE ME MAX CITRATE, STILL THE PAIN IS THERE, SO I GO TO A BIGGER BETTER HOSPITAL AND THE GAVE ME GOLYTLEE, THIS MADE ME GO BUT AFTER TWO WEEKS I STILL HAVE THE PAIN THERE! I ALSO NOTICED THAT AFTER I GO TO RESTROOM I DO FEEL BETTER FOR A WHILE BUT IT COMES BACK SHORTLY AFTER! I HAVE TWO XRAYS DONE AND BLOOD WORK THAT DID NO GOOD, WOULD LOVE TO KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF THIS PAIN!!!

Hello. I'm 17 year old female and my boyfriend is having the same thing, but it is completely through his waist and mostly on his right side, going in to just a few inches above his knees at first. He's had the pain for about a week and a half now, and was just in the hospital Monday on November 2. They went straight to the ER and was there since around 10 in the morning and admitted around 4 in the afternoon. But they kept him in there and said that it was going to heal on its own. The gave him morphine and antibiotics, which made some of the pain go away, and then put him in quarantine saying that it may be a blood born disease then sent him home two hours later. His dad took him to the worst hospital in Michigan which no one likes because they aren't very good. So we are trying to get him to go to a new hospital but now his dad wont take him at all!

Lower abdominal pain is any discomfort or annoying sensation rising or occurring in the abdomen at a level below the belly button or umbilicus.

I'm having this pain too. i'm a 24 year old male and it's been here about two years... The only thing i can think of for when the pain started was that i drank something like almost a gallon of water on a hot day and then i felt a tear almost when i went to walk you know like the side ache. Well anyway, i also get pains/cramps when i have to c**p. it feels like bloating, I'm about to go on a blended smoothie diet and see if that helps the pain go away.. i feel the pain more when I eat a lot. I'm also going to work on stretching that area out more as I play a lot of poker online and don't stretch enough or get enough exercise and have been eating less than optimally. The pain starts at about an inch below my abdomen and bounces around from near my groin to that area. I'm hoping the blended diet and stretching will help I'll get back to you all in a few months :-). I don't think we have that much to worry about though other than maybe eating less gassy foods!

I've thought this very same thing! I've had this same "discomfort" in my lower left abdomen for 7 months. It has never been severe, but sometimes worse than others. About the same time the pain began I was very worried about losing my job. The condition seemed to worsen during that time. I did lose my job, but I immediately found another. I was extremely relieved, and the pain went away and my bowel movements became regular again... for a while anyway. The discomfort/pain came back along with irregularity. I do have a lot of stress in my life right now, so much in fact that I can't sleep with out taking sleeping pills. But unless I win the lottery and end my relationship the stress will continue. But a lot of these other descriptions make sense too; diverticulitis, kidney infection, etc. All the symptoms are the same. Thinking about it and worrying about what it could be causes more stress and doctors can't seem to figure it out either. It's an endless circle. Maybe I should take up smoking weed to relieve some stress and see if that works.

I am 28 years old. As the original poster, I do have the same exact, the to tee, symptoms... Left lower abdominal pressure, not necessarily pain, at times it does surge to the left testicle but not often... I went as far as to get a Colonoscopy and they did actually find a Polyp which was non-cancerous... The thing of it is, when I was drinking the good stuf that makes you go... the first time I went it looked like I passed stool that was like, a year old... never seen somethin like that before come out of me... I felt better. 3 months later now, pressure starting to come back. If the butt camera says its all good up to my stomach or as far as they went, they have no other answers for me. I hope someone finds out soon what it is; this is driving me nuts!! I am active, I Kayak, Golf, and do Martial Arts many times a week, but nothing agitates it or bothers it, its just "there".... Im going to, the night before my next day off, drink up again and see if its some kind of intestinal blockage... of course they would not have found that in the colonoscopy because I was clean as a whistle.

Furthermore, I may go back for more consulting and testing, but we'll see.

i have discomfort on my lower left stomach and reflects a tiny slight pain to my left testicle.
i got worried so i checked with the doctors today and they gave me a CAT scan.
turned out i have a kidney stone about 2.2 millimeter wide.
they precribed me some percocet pain medicine, but it's not so painful YET.
we'll see what happens in a few days when it comes out...

kidny stone, i didn't even think of that i thought it was something else...

I woke up with the same pain one day.....it can be one of two things........a hernia or a kidney stone. Kidney stones tend to be more painful and not last that long....if its been there it is most likely a hernia and if you have been active its pry a sports hernia....Eat more protein and try not to do much for a couple of days. Then slowly work out your muscles while making sure you get plenty of energy. the key is to strengthen the small muscle fibers in and around your core.Make sure you drink plenty of fluids if you think it is either of them

it is most likely a hernia. you should ask your doctor to refer you to a surgeon. if the surgeon diagnosis it as one it will probably only require a minor surgery outpatient that day.
