It's probably the soda. Soda is filled with artificial sugars, flavors and toxins that your organs and digestive system has a very hard time processing and breaking down. Almost all of those toxic substances quickly turn to fat in the body's desperate attempt to process them. If your having one soda every day over a long period of time... this will eventually catch up to you especially if your metabolism is beginning to slow down with age. Start by cutting out sodas, milk, (filled with growth hormones), juices, and basically any other drink besides water and see how you feel/if you loose any weight.

KMC again, back with a final diagnosis. Gastroparesis, which was made profoundly worse by progesterone which I was taking because my periods stopped. (I still don't know why I stopped having periods, but obviously I've had some hormonal issues going on.) Check into gastroparesis if your belly suddenly becomes very bloated/enlarged for no other known reason.

Hi everyone,
I know this post is from awhile ago, but I was just curious if anyone has any answers/ got diagnosed for anything because I am facing the same exact issues. My stomach is extremely bloated, and I have gained weight out of nowhere without changing my eating or exercise habits. I am 5'8 and used to weigh 135 which was a perfect weight for my body type. I suddenly gained 20-25 pounds which puts me up to 155-160. Ive seen the doctor multiple times where they have checked me for celiac, thyroid, and anemia. The only thing that came back positive was the anemia, but from what I understand that doesn't cause weight gain. I am tired all of the time and don't have the energy I used to have. I'm only 19 years old, I shouldn't be feeling this way. I sometimes get out of breath even just sitting down, walking up a flight of stairs forget it. It never used to be like this. Did anyone get any answers? I would love some help seeing the doctors don't listen to me anymore because they think I'm crazy.

I know this post is over a year old, but I was wondering if you ever got any answers because what you are describing is EXACTLY what is happening to me! I have lifted weights and exercised for 25 years (I'm 45 now), and have never had a weight problem EVER. I also eat healthy and have gained about 45 pounds in less than a year. I left my primary doctor in tears and so angry I almost lost it because she too seemed to think that I just sit around eating c**p all day and do nothing. I've been to my ob-gyn, an endocrinologist and am now seeing my gastro who has diagnosed me with gallstones and wants to do an endoscopy as well. None of my clothes fit and I'm tired all the time. I don't want to even leave the house anymore because I'm so disgusted with everything. Did you ever get an answer to what was going on with you?
