(sorry i had to reenter this my email was entered the wrong way) hey girls, i have the same issue with the dizziness when i get my period every month its the same thing. i can actually tell when im getting my period only when i start getting dizzy, other then that i never know when i might get it. as long as i have had my period iv never had a normal one i could go 3 to 6 months with out one and then get one out of no where that lasts any where from 1 week being the norm to my longest period 4 months. but in all this time other then those 4 crazy months iv never felt dizzy no matter how bad the cramps where or how big or small the flow was. but what makes me wonder is if there is any correlation to the dizzy spells i have every time i get my period to when i had my car crash about a year and half ago. now i know these are two different things but in this crash i had a concussion witch makes me wonder if it might be some kind of change in a persons life or a traumatic event that could have happened that could have triggered a chemical or hormonal change to cause the spells. because i have noticed that only after my crash a 1 1/2 year ago that this change accrued. has any one noticed a change in there lives when this started that could have physically caused a change.

Hi, im 14 and I have the same problem but all the time. I have a very low blood pressure that gets even lower when I stand up. My doctor said that eating more salty foods and having iron suplememts which you can get from the chemist or places like boots (UK) and these either come in tablets which you take once a day or an apple flavoured juice drink which has a high amount of iron in it. This has helped for me but hasnt completely solved the issue but try it and just keep hydrated throughout.

Hey girl don't stress too much I'm 16 and iv been having these dizziness sessions ever since a started 4 years ago each time i get my period you either have low blood pressure or low iron. You should eat more salty things and foods such as livers beet root bananas yogurt red meat marmite and ect they really help, you may have them in your diet now but that simply means that you don't get enough of it. Hope мץ advice helps

I have the same problem, mine usually skips months. I noticed after I gave birth to my second son . I think it has to do with hormonal imbalance- estrogen or progesterone.

I am on her to try to find something to relieve the symptoms - I feel very "loopy" If you find some relief let us know and I will do the same

wow - how interesting to read this site. Tatyana, I had a terrible car accident when i was 8 and from then on have suffered terrible vertigo attacks during my life. A few years ago, in my mid 30s i started doing IVF and the attacks got worse, they were happening every week or so. I went to a vertigo specialist who told me that the problem might be hormonal since it started getting worse around the IVF time. I went back through my diaries for the last 10 years and found that everytime i had a terrible vertigo attack it was coincidentally 2 days before I got my period. Anyway, i went to a naturopath and she told me my estrogen levels were so high - dangerously high and that my liver wasn't breaking down the estrogen properly. She gave me supplements to take to regulate my hormones and for the last 5 months - no vertigo or dizzyness. Girls, check your hormones. My IVF specialist told me that just before a women gets her period her progesterone hormone drops. Hope this has been of some help

I have the same problem. I am 2 months apart and it has happened to me twice. The first time I fell to the floor and passes out. The second time was today during school, and some kids found me in a corner. I felt like I was about to fall to my knees and everything seemed heavier. Plus there is and excruciating pain right below my stomach. Anyone know what's going on?

I came on this site to look for an answer. I am dizzy at this moment and it is the first time is ever happened to me. I just came on my cycle yesterday and I don't have migraines. I went to the kitchen to get a snack and I was extremely dizzy. I came back to lie down and I was so dizzy I had to close my eyes. When I rolled over the whole room was spinning. I usually have very heavy cycles, and I also have a dermoid. I'm not sure what it is, I'm sorry that no 1 has an answer.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!  I have been fighting vertigo on and off for 7 years.  I cannot tell you how many doctors I have seen and how many tests I have had and how many of those trained professionals have told me it has nothing to do with my cycle.  Somehow it seems as if they have not read it in a book, they choose to ignore the facts that it ALWAYS is at it's worst the day before my period thru the 2nd day of my period.  I am relieved just to find this sight and realize I am not alone.

I am hypothyroid, 52, and have been on thyroid supplements for 15 years.  As I got my thyroid stabilized, my periods regulated, the vertigo was much more managable.  I have also had a lot of relief from the new chyropractor I've been going to.  There is a spot in the neck he refers to as "the dizzy bone".  C2 or C3, I believe.  Seems to track for me.

I will be requesting estrogen and progesteron testing as well.  This MUST be hormone related.  It's just too coincidental not to be.

God bless us all, Ladies.

I am 32 and stopped taking the pill a year and a half ago. For the first 12 months I had a pretty irregular period, but felt mostly fine. Now the past 6 months I've been getting dizziness, fatigue and a foggy head that has been increasingly been getting worse. Usually the week before my period and is worst the first day. I also spot for about 5-7 days before I get my actual period, then it lasts anywhere from 2 - 5 days. Last month I made a tea that I drank 2 big cups of every night for 2 weeks before my period. And I felt fine! It worked really well! I have been spotting now for 4 days and should start my period next week, I've been drinking the tea so I hope it works again. This is my recipe: 10 leaves dried nettle (this grows wild on my land) Rapsberry leaf (I tea bag or 10 leaves dried) Mint (1 tea bag or 10 leaves dried) Steep in a pot for 10-15 min Add a bit of lemon and honey You can buy nettle tea or supplements, It is naturally high in iron!
