I'm trying to get off methadone but hard because I have to be able to function for kids and my fiancé so please let me know what will stop or minimize the withdrawal I hate methadone it was a mistake

not sure how long ago you posted your comment about the methadone but If you can tell me anything that would help come off methadone without any withdrawl symtoms please let me know!! Me and my fiance have been trying to have a baby but Im afraid the methadone is keeping this from happening even though I know people that have become pregnant on methadone....... I have heard that you CAN still get pregnant on methadone and Ive also heard that it keeps you from getting pregnant..... Can anyone help me with this please!!
Bf and I are currently dosing at under 100mg. Me 2 months him 1 year. I'm 29 Nd want children. I need of this c**p ASAP!

I'm a 52 year old woman in per menopause and don't want to get pregnant. My whole life for the 2 beautiful babies I had took a long time for me to conceive. Now I'm married to my best friend and don't want to bother with contriceptives. We occasionally make love without protection. Should I be concerned. I have been told I have a tiled uterus and can only conceive every other month. My husband has been on methadone for at least 3 years 120mg per day and is 54 and also drinks everyday and is a smoker. What are my chances of conceiving? I hope less than 10%! Happy to be an empty nester. Any advise would be appreciated!
52yr woman who married best friend, it is about 99% not going to get you pregnant when hes on that much methadone and esp at his age. Trust me there are soooooooo many factors against you getting pregnant even if you tried it wont happen lol im almost 30 and have tried to have kids over 5yrs now and im on 125mg and my wifes very fertile and we want a baby bad but i cant get off methadone there are no detox places in ga who have exp with detoxing people on 125mg without using suboxone or subutex im alergic to both. Defanitly enjoy sex while you can and dont worry about condoms ur both ok. Methadone tremendously lowers males chance of having baby to like 1%
Beaunk7, My boyfriend and I are both on Methadone and have been trying to get pregnant but it hasnt happened and we were wondering if the Methadone had anything to do with the negative results. I guess after reading this Methadone is affecting us. We have been thinking about getting off the methadone but are really not ready for the withdrawals because of work and the fact that they just plain SUCk to go threw.... There are some supplements or herbs we can take to take away the affects of withdrawal or lessen them? Let us know what you think, thank you.
I have been on Methadone for about 40 years, 30mg daily. 10 years ago I married a much younger woman and recently she decided she wanted a baby. We both had complete fertility work-ups, she is perfect in every way, my sperm on the other hand, is there in large numbers but don't swim very well. Should I get off Methadone? Any advice about my options would be greatly appreciated. BTW I didn't tell my doctor I'm on Methadone.
