My boyfriend has been on methadone for almost 15years, only 10mg a day and he's 43yrs old. I'm only 21yrs old and we've been trying to conceive for almost 2 years and for a while I thought maybe it was me who couldn't get pregnant... but then I remembered that he takes methadone every day. If this is what is causing us to not get pregnant, what can we do to help him get off of the methadone? Please help :(

None of what you just said is true. Ive had 2 kids no problem using methadone and cannabis everyday for 3 years. You have been misinformed. It may effect achieving an erection,but there is no link between methadone and infertility or even cannabis for that matter.

Please only listen to a medical professional. This guy is totally wrong. I have had my sperm tested and there has not been a noticeable difference from the test I took two years before I was on MMT program.

Hi, what supplements ext can you duggest for coning off of methadone? I am interested for the reason of having a child with my wife in future and have had a really hard timecoming offthe program before but would like tothink that having been clean for a certain amount of time and the idea of remaining that way and having a baby would be an amazing experiancefor us both together as we already have okder children of our own we hadprior to ever having a drug addiction ofthis kind. What did you use to get off methadone that helped with no withdraw. I'm wanting to get pregnant and my boyfriend and I wanna get off at some point but I'm scared I'll be so sick

My name is Brian. My partner and I are trying to have a baby. I have been on methadone 9 years now, 95 mgs. HOW ON EARTH can I come off methadone WITHOUT THE AGONIZING, NIGHTMARE WITHDRAWALS?!!!?? yes I would like to know as well,  we have been on methadone for over 5 years coming off of it has been the biggest challenge of our lives.

you hate methadone but I'm sure its a better alternative than what you were using. I am also on methadone. I do not like it either, It makes me tired and I have gained weight on it. Like 50lbs. I am now down to 50mg a day and need to keep going down. and than switch to suboxone I think to than get off of everything

why don't you ask your doctor for suboxone. it's not as power full nd it works well. actually really well. it still makes your sex drive weak though. kind of the same as methadone in that regard. but I don't think its as power full. You might be able to wean off it easier than methadone.
