After 10 years of Depo Provera, i went 18 mos before periods came back. Only they were every 25 days instead of my younger 28 days almost to the hour. That was okay, they were lighter than pre-prego. About 3 years of that then they started getting really heavy every 3rd, then every other, and then every month. Had a super low ferritin level. Started taking iron and gradually felt better, but every other period was still heavy. I am now 11 days late. It's been about 9 years from that first post Depo period (I assume that was the beginning of my Perimeno). I turned 46 a few months ago, and my mother was all done by 47, except hot flashes. I have never had a hot flash.
But I feel different. I feel like my hair isn't coming out as easy now, my bloated feeling is gone, the tingling in my feet in the mornings went away, we suddenly need lube in the bedroom, my boobs don't hurt whatsoever, I've been having insomnia, and best part, my tendency to gain weight easy that started with Peri is gone, and I can eat normal again.
I wish there was a way I could know if Shark Week is cancelled for good, I want to celebrate!
