Just turned 46 last month. I have a 4 year old too! But I'm 3 weeks late for the first time ever. Not pregnant... that I know for sure. But did you have mild cramps and low back pain when going through this? I have! For 3 weeks now. I have a gyno appt in the morn. So scared that it's something else....
Not presumptuous... I'm 46 and haven't gotten my period in 3 1/2 months now. I'm hoping i'm on that road to menopause. I already have occasional hot flashes and so moody! The joys of being a woman.. (No chance of pregnancy either.)
I’m so glad I found this forum! I am 46 and had my period last month! Waiting for this month but I have been feeling very tired body aches brain fog etc What other symptoms should I experience friends??? Please share!! Thanks!
Hi All, I made 46 on July 11 and my period strangely started on my birthday and stopped by the 13th. I haven’t had a period in 2 months. I have to say I’m very depressed. Crying everyday, weight gain, sore feet, I guess I would welcome menopause if I had children. Are there any ladies out there who understand what I am going through because this is the pits. Thinking about seeking a therapist to deal with this anxiety.
Hi there think I am on the journey to no periods too..47..they just started coming less frequently but I did have an issue before that. I am mentioning in case it happens to anyone. I always had heavy periods, clotting but then I started getting flooding periods out in public and they would not stop.
Hospital was useless so went and saw excellent female gynecologist who removed two polyps. I did not feel anything, took pain relief 30 minutes prior. 5 minutes later they were gone and in a specimen jar. Looked like white stalks.
Once removed the flooding out of nowhere stopped and got my iron back up from literally zero. Nothing to worry about with those polyps.Gynie said I was in perimenopause. She can tell by looking. Now my periods are tapering off, very light every 4 months or so and look like raspberry jam. I look forward to them finishing forever. I am going to have a party, lol.
I have had no hot flushes or sweats or trouble sleeping or forgetfulness or any symptoms at all like that. Fingers crossed.
So girls, if you have any flooding that does not stop go see a gynie right away. These polyps are not cancerous. You do not need an op to get them removed, she does it in your appointment. Took 5 minutes or less.
Highly recomend a female gynie, much better as she is a woman and lots more comfortable. Be well girls. Just think of the money saved and underwear too by not buying tampons and pads all the time, woot!

My period stopped when I was forty five years of age. Seven years later (52), my period started up again. Should I be worried or do something about it?
How to stop your period forever?
I hate my period, it is always heavy and it usually comes at the wrong time. I want to get rid of it completely and I never want to have children.
I'm 45 years of age. My periods come at the end running into the first week in the month. I've been cramping for three weeks and haven't seen my current period. At what age does your period stop?
