I've heard terrible things about Tourimi. Before they promise, then after when it's all wide and you hate it, then it's all oh well we wouldn't want you to not breathe... We're afraid of it being too narrow. And 30,000 I hope you'd be the supposed talent working on it. Fuk Tourimi heard several bad things about him over the years too. In addition to Ellenbogen. I recommend to you Dr. Bahman Guyuron because I really want to help. He doesn't even need the advertising, true talent, true intellectual, indeed you'll find him at Case Western Reserve Univerity. That's a university and not hell where plastic surgeons lie to you take your money send you out the door with a bunch or lies distortions after the surgery promises before ALL JUSt TO support their lavist life styles. If that's not evil, I don't know what is! It is evil. At least rest assured a lot of these doctors are going to hell! Which they may not believe in as scientists, but there is one, so they're S.O.L. Also recommend Dr. Constantian.

I am sorry for your experience. Did you have primary or secondary with Dr. Toriumi? Did he offer to fix his mistakes or was that an option you choose not to seek?

I was wondering if someone can please help me. I am in desperate need of a third revision surgery because I cannot breathe. I have met with Dr. Toriumi and have mixed feelings. There seem to be a lot of unhappy patients, and I am curious if anything has improved with their noses over time, or if they were able to find a better surgeon to correct problems. I am really desperate for some guidance. Thanks.

I had a third revision with Toriumi. It was the worst decision of my life, and the most costly. He did not do what we discussed. The result is horrible. I could breathe before but I can't now. He did a rush job as his first surgery of the day went until 2pm. He did tell me almost two years later that it did not turn out and he offered to fix it. But Pat said I would have to pay for the operating room, which I felt was wrong. And I did not want any more travel expenses, as I had five trips to Chicago from the Northwest. And I do not trust him after what he did to me.

Dr. Toriumi, can do amazing work,!!!!!  I had surgery in 2000. And then in 2002. 

 

Yes, that in fact pretty much sums it up. Similar bad experience here. Very badly over-grafted; seemingly also he has his student fellows do the actual work, while he supervises. You also failed to mention his own electric-shock injury from the mid-2000's, where I've read the complaint that clearly says he claims his ability to perform surgery has been permanently affected. I would put this on my Most Unwanted List.

It's been 6 months since I had my rhinoplasty/ septoplasty surgery with Dr. Dean Toriumi. Words can not express how happy I am with the results. I have never had surgery before and was very hesitant to chance anything, especially on my face. However, it came to a point where my breathing and appearance of my nose became very bothersome. September 2014 I decided to start looking into surgeons. I extensively researched all the doctors in the Chicago, NY and LA area (Chicago is home). I researched the surgery I needed, used yelp and other web-based sites to read reviews. I also talked to people I know who have had rhinoplasty as well as spoke directly to other surgeons (I work in the medical industry, specifically surgery). I asked every surgeon I worked with following question "if your wife was to have a rhinoplasty, who would you send her to?" EVERY SINGLE DR. SAID TORIUMI! I still wanted to feel comfortable with my decision, so I scheduled a consultation with 2 doctors . I was able to get my first consult with Dr. Shah and then a few week later with Dr. Toriumi. I immediately felt comfortable with Toriumi from my first consult. He is a brilliant physician. He is soft spoken and really gets down to business. To be candid he is not warm and fuzzy and that's simply because he's busy. He takes the time to address your needs and wants as well as answer all questions. If your more concerend with a bedside manor then results then maybe he is not your guy. But, personally I'd rather have a phenomenal outcome than a great converstation. Dr. Toriumi's craft is constructing the nose to fit your facial features. It's truly an art form in order for it to not look like a typical nose job. He is very meticulous to ensure what he changes is what's best for your face. Everyone I know has responded saying how great and natural my nose looks. It's truly perfect and I can finally breathe. If there is one thing you remember about my review let it be this-- You have 1 face and 1 chance to truly get it right. Why roll the dice? DO IT ONCE AND DO IT RIGHT. Do your research! Toriumi is pricey don't get me wrong, but  you will spending more money and time fixing a surgery your not happy with.  I cannot say enough about Dr. Toriumi's and his office staff.  They made me feel extremely comfortable and took the time to explain every step of the process to me.  Anytime I called in with a question, they were quickly responsive.  The staff was also very accommodating to my busy work schedule.  I would absolutely recommend Dr. Toriumi to all my family and friends.  He is simply the best!

can you please recommend me few good doctors for a revision rhinoplasty ?

Dr. Toriumi charged me $5,000. out of pocket. My insurance paid the rest. 2 friends flew to Chicago to have revisions by Dr. Toriumi and their results are gorgeous. The nose looks big at first but shrinks after a couple of months.

Dr. Toriumi is better than the best. He is an awesome king of nose jobs. He fixed my nose after many failed surgeries. It's a beautiful well functioning nose.
