Please be careful I opted not to have mine out and it got infected and almost killed me. The gall stones blocked the duct. and the infected gall bladder stuck itself to my liver and they had to remove part of my liver. Making a much worse surgery to recuperate from.

If you still have your gallstones may I suggest ordering some Quebra Pedra supplements. I had three attacks in one week before I found out it was gallstones. I phoned up a health website I get my other supplements from and they suggested Quebra Pedra. I take three capsules every morning before food. They are supposed to soften then dissolve gallstones. One lady reported that hers disappeared after a month of use. I have been taking them for a month now and have just ordered another pot to take whilst I wait for a further ultrasound scan to see if they have reduced / dissolved. My largest was 1.3cm. If they haven't dissolved I will continue to take this supplement until they do. They have other benefits for the liver and general health, so it won't be a waste of time taking them. Since taking them I have not had any attacks despite eating everything I did before.

Well, from studies and personal experience...alcohol actually may heal your gallbladder.

I even found study in wich they reversed gallstones with alcohol, but I cant find it anywhere now.

From experience: my relatives that are heavy duty alcoholics, that means 2-3 beers everyday to heavily drunked every third-second day, never had any problem with gallstones or gallbladder, lets not talk about their problems with kidneys and liver. On the other hand my relatives who stopped drinking alcohol I meant literally not a single drop or drinked alcohol like once in a year or so, almost everyone had problems with gallbladder. From experience alcoholics didnt had problems with gallbladder.

From study: If you think about it, gallbladder releases bile wich helps with lipids (fats, waxes, sterols). Alcohol dissolves lipids, so you could say that alcohol actually helps your gallbladder and your digestion. Thats why aperitives and digestives were created, thats why our ancestors did shots before, while and after feasts. Plus you know alcohol dehydrates and is a cause of mineral deficiency, because alcohol is toxin and our body uses everything it has to neutralise it and to flush it out, plus when its in your intestines it dehydrates. So actually alcohol may dissolve your gallstones.

So to sum it up, you SHOULD drink to help your gallbladder, but with moderation and with meals. As my grandmother said, everything in moderation heals, well except mercury.

I've done the Epsom salt w/water and olive oil and fresh grapefruit juice flush twice with amazing results! Hundreds of stones start coming 2nd day. Follow exactly! Doing a third flush this weekend. Hundreds came out second round also. Stay close to a toilet and don't plan anything!
I feel 100% better already!

I have gallstones. I seem to be able to have as many glasses of.wine as I want without getting sick (I mean, as much as I can normally have without getting sick), but anything else- nope. I try to have ONE beer and I feel as sick as though I'd had 10. Same wih liquor. The equivalent of one shot and I feel very nauseated. So in my experience, wine is the one to go with if you do want to have a drink. You could try something else to see how it makes you feel, but if I were you, I would try little tiny bits at a time.

I was diagnosed with multiple gallstones about a month ago. i had a real bad attack and was crawling on the floor in pain. my husband had to almost carry me to er. after cat scans and ultra sound i was diagnosed with many gall stones. i am scheduled for surgery this Thursday. I am nervous, because the surgeon is unsure he can do it laporascopic because i have so many. he says i must have had them for years. i have had stomach problems for quite a few years. i just thought it was me and that there was no problem. does anyone know why there would be a cause for them to open me up verses a lap?

Thanks so much for your feedback I got told I had gall stones and pancreatitis a few weeks ago, I'm over the pancreatitis now but due to the sever pain I've been scared to drink any alcohol and it was my birthday last week, was hoping a glass of red would be ok lol so thanks for your feedback put my mind at rest

Yeah we pay our insurgence here pretty much the same amount as private if not more yet we just treat every man and his dog that walks through the door. The NHS is broken, get rid!

How large is your gall stone? I have a gall stone 4.3 cm. I had an attack once and did not know that I even had gall stone. I do not want to remove my gall bladder. Can I live like this?

I have stones, too, and I have tried the apple juice, epsom's salts and olive oil. I have passed LOTS of small stones, but I am still feeling tender there, and I believe there are still stones. I wouldn't risk drinking. ANYTHING that causes inflammation is a bad idea. I drink 16 oz of celery juice every other day, which has been recommended as well.
