Yez. I had that yesterday. My under skin is bleeding
I had a mammogram in May , I have had three before this one , they were a little uncomfortable but not unduly so. This one was excruciating. I was in tears for hours the pain was so unbearable . I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN SO MUCH PAIN , 5 months later I am still in agony . Cannot sleep with the pain . I would NEVER HAVE ONE AGAIN. And would not recommend anyone to do so !

yes I know how you feel but I believe it depends on the technician this is the first time I have been in pain after a mammogram I went in with no pain know I am bruised and swolled my breast and one is worst then the other it all depends on the technician I will never go back to the facility that I went to Nashville tn at 30020thavenue stay away from this pain and brusing
I had a mammogram almost 8 years ago and still suffer from breast pain regularly as a result. My nipple on the right side stings, and my whole right breast aches. I wish I never had it done, but my doctor literally harassed me until I went. Comfortable
I received a mammogram today and there was no pain during but my right breast hurts this afternoon. Is that normal?
I had a mammo on Saturday, back in today for a 3D mammo and ultrasound. I'm now sitting here in pain at the top of my chest, breast area. She really squashed that area 31lbs and 29 lbs on the right(according to display on machine) I feel like throwing up and Tylenol isn't helping. I never felt this bad after a breast biopsy even. Mammo never hurt before, not even the one on Saturday. They did find cysts, unless they are causing pain now.
I had a mamo two years ago when I was 38 I was told that it was time to do one and have a baseline for the future. I cried all the way home after it was done and swore I would never do that again. I have dense tissue so they had to an ultrasound. They found some small cysts. They wanted to see me again in 6 months for another mamo and ultrasound. I only wanted to do the ultrasound and was told no they had to do the mamo first. This seemed silly cause the reason for the ultra sound was they couldn't see anything on the mamo pictures. I expressed my concerns with the care providers and was ignored. When I had my mamo the tech squished me wrong on my left breast. It was the worse pain I had ever felt. She had to redo the image so I was pressed again on that side. as a result of that mess up, I am messed up. My left nipple is no longer centered on my breast. (It looks like fabric that was tucked.) On my left side of my left breast you can see a puckered like look (tucked) you can see where the tissue was bunched together. I have pain a lot in my left breast. I discovered the rubbing Olive Oil into the skin helps with the discomfort. I started using Frankincense oil too, I helps with stretch marks and scaring. I have noticed the tucked look of my left breast is starting to fade and the tissue is getting softer not by much. Still hurts to touch my left nipple. I was being responsible and proactive and got pain and disfigurement and an unsupported heath care staff. Thank God I have a supportive wonderful husband!!! I'm thinking of changing doctors and seeing where that may lead me. I would like to keep tabs on the cysts I have and find a doctor that doesn't insist or push the mammograms. I need to contact my insurance too and see if they will pay for the ultrasound without the mamo being done. Good luck ladies!! I say if you feel nothing leave it alone!!! Don't do the Mammogram!! There are other ways to check your breasts for cancer. I wish I had read up on things more and listened to my mom, who said you don't need it. :( Oh and other thing both my breasts have lost their perky shape!! Super sucks!!!
I went in for yearly exam and the tech was haphazard, unclear in her directions, rude. I'd had mammo's before and didn't get too concerned, but I sure wish I had dismissed that tech for a different one. I had pain in my left breast for weeks, and enough that my doctor wanted to check me for heart problems. After several heart tests I was pronounced healthy, and the cardio doc I saw agreed the pain could have been from the mammogram. I know it was. I'm opting for an ultrasound next time.
I had a mammogram this week breast and they are extremely sore I even have pains in my neck and going up my head I'm not sure that I don't have a pinched nerve I haven't had a mammogram and 10 years and I probably won't be going back next year because this is ridiculous
I was just injured by a breast MRI - injury to chest wall and ribs. Had to go to the doctor two days later because I was in so much pain. The doctor said it could take 6 weeks to heal.
yes had the mamagram Oct 23rd and after that pain and soreness in shoulders and brest now take ibrophen to help stop the pain caused by pressing your brest down in hard position..scary....hope the soreness and pain soon go away...thanks, i understand what the comments are saying and yes it is true soreness...
I had somethuing like this happen and worse. Why do lawyers no want to take these kinds of cases as you said?
Some medical people don't know what they're doing they don't have a lot of experience and they don't care some of them I just mean and hateful and don't know how to talk to people me personally don't think anybody should be pressed that hard you should express yourself and take it to the next level of reporting that
This just happened to me. My mammogram was yesterday and seemed routine. Today realized I have a cut just over one inch long under one breast. Never heard of this happening. I've had at least 20 mammograms without any injury. The receptionist at center said this just happens sometimes. I'll take pictures just for the record & tell my referring doctor.
