Get an ultrasound
Sorry to hear about your pain, however I think I might have the same thing. I had my tissue removed from both breasts. Then inplants put in . After my mammogram I have had severe nerve pain. I know it’s a nerve because if I wear the right bra and push the inplant off the nerve the pain goes away. I would suggest you try moving the tissue around and see if ice helps. If you can locate the area of the pain. Pinpoint it, maybe a good plastic surgeon who does a lot of work on breast can help you.
Good luck sweetie. I know it hurts!!

Are my nipples supposed to be in pain after
Thank you all for this valuable validation of what I am feeling. It is exactly 3 months since the mammogram and My left breast, toward the center, hurts as though being poked by an under-wire...I look...not wearing one, and all that I typically wear are not anywhere near the pain. The pain started day one after the mammogram. I now want an ultrasound to see if anything is wrong; the pain seems more at the chest wall than in the tissue, but I can never get an exact location when I feel around the area. It's a shame I have to spend $thousands on this extra test, when I suspect that a better technician during the mam could have prevented this concern.
I went to get a mamogram March ,2018 the tech ask me if ive been experciening any pain i answered some yes she only said well as you get older youre going to expercience that.So she did the test after i got home i start having these pains in my breast only in my left that i never felt before it hurt so bad i almost went to the er.It still hurt but not as bad but its scary to me because of my left side then i have nerve damage in my left arm and hand.My tech act like she didnt want to be at work or dont like blacks i didnt feel good when i left i hope she took the pics and not pretended she did,Its a lot of that going on now.
I've just had my second mammogram and I am horrified at how much that hurt today. This is BS right? If men had to tolerate this treatment of their scrotum there would be an alternative. I've heard there are new scans that detect even better than this old technology. Righ now, 12.5 hours after my mammogram, I'd happily have them both removed to never have to endure this again. I don't believe it should be this torturous.
How dare you judge someone else's level of pain glad your mom and grandma lived. Sorry they did not teach you empathy nor manners
What a judgemental a-- you are. Until you have been in these women's shoes you have no business commenting. I did my work, was prepared, and sit here two months after a mammogram with ruptured blood vessels and pain in both breasts. Why don't you stick a sharp object in your breast, walk around like that for a few months and get back to us!!!!
I was thrilled to read what you wrote. I recently had my first mammogram after my doctor "tricked" me into it. It was excruciating to the point where I woke up with chest pains during the night. I was called back because of "density." I told my doctor I didn't want to go but he insisted. I foolishly went and was told there were calcifications and I had to have an IMMEDIATE biopsy. I almost went, then started research, citing dangers of biopsies and the fact that there are 300,000 done in the US that are unnecessary. I cancelled the appt., went back to my doctor and showed him all the printouts I had which told of the horrific dangers of mammograms and biopsies and all of the other follow up.I feel my life is changed now from what I went through. It haunts me every day. I will never have another mammogram. I feel the same as you do about celebrities joining in on the propaganda and mammography just being a huge cash machine. I wish I could unite with many women and somehow make our feelings known.
Wow, I have not had this experience, until 5/14/18. The skin that connects breasts to my chest is literally split; ripped apart. I felt the mammogram tech was unfamiliar with double d's pulled and tugged to get the right angle. Had no idea I'd be paying for this exam twice. I am keeping area clean and dry. No powder for me, afraid after Johnson and Johnson suit. I am using antibiotic cream. I'm concerned and not looking forward to next year...
I had a mammogram 2weeks ago .I had my right breast Stick to the metal .the tech grabbed it and pulled it straight up ripping a 6 inch tear which was bleeding . When she seen what she did she get a paper towel and handed it to me .when I put it under it was so painful .she never said sorry or offer any help .I went out and got dressed I showed my aid who had brought me .we put another towel till she got me home .I kept it dry and clean but if I pull it up to clean it will start to tear again .still painful after 2weeks .I am 62 .had my doctor look at it said keep it dry she gave me some antibiotics cream .will that skin thicken back up or will I always have problems now . I am also a diabetic.
I had to have 2 mammograms done back in January it is now June and Im still having pain in both but the right breast seems to be the worst, the tech that did both compressed it way to much it hurt and I told her, but her reply was it wont be much longer, just hold still, well how are you going to move wgen your stuck like that, gee at it did take alot longer than I felt it should .Anyway Im still having so much pain, that doesnt seem right to me. Im also hurting in my right shoulder. My regular physician was suppose to tell me the results but before I could get in for an appointment she left the clinic where I was a patient, so now ive had to get another Dr. Its taken me a long time as they didnt have a female internal specialist , I think women just seem to understand womens problems better. Anyway they have one now so will be going to see her asap. But i can tell you i will never have another mammogram again, the radiation I dont think is good either, I agree Its $$$$ that is behind all this. No mammograms no $$ no cancer no $$$ for the Drs or pharma its a money making business alright.
I agree 100%. I had my first mammogram recently at 63 because my doctor pressured me into it. Bad experience--chest pains in the middle of the night due to my chest bone being scraped. I got a letter telling me to come back. I did not want to , but the doctor said I HAD to. He ignored my symptoms of chest pains. Second time---calcifications---IMMEDIATE biopsy. Almost went, then started research and cancelled appt.Whole scenario is a big money-making, propaganda- inducing , scare inducing scam. I
have had many talks with my doctor about this and told him I will not have a biopsy and will never have another mammogram. If I had had this biopsy I would have been caught up in the deep-rooted machinery in the medical profession that is now idolized as mammography - the "11th COMMANDMENT."

I had a mammogram 6 months ago, and it was very painful. Still having pain in my left breast where she needed to retake image, because they found something. The pain is now radiating to my armpit. Calling dictors with no response. I am beyond frustrated. I will never have another mammogram again.
In January I had a mammogram that has left me with stabbing pain she kept pulling my chest skin down into the machine and I literally thought I might pass out and I have high tolerance for pain. It is 7 months later and I am still dealing with it when I use my upper chest muscles even to just roll over in bed. I am thinking about not going back and almost filed a complaint she seem to be just being mean.
