Have your doctor do a hida scan on your gallbladder, they told me all my test were normal too, but the hida scan showed I have a injection fraction of only 9 % . I have been going through this for a solid year... Hope you feel better soon... Good luck!

It might be a MSG reaction. Grilled meat could have meat tenderizer on it which has msg - and a lot of chinese food has msg. Adobo spanish seasoning has it also. Ive had the same reactions as you - check to see what you are eating and if it has msg.... some fast food such as Chik filet also use msg.

I get severe pain after eating any potato, eggs or cheeses. I was tested and they said it was food allergies.

I too find vomiting helps with the pain. If I ride it out I have to lay on my left and it usually eases in 20 minutes but puking is right away. I believe the source of our pain may be due to a biliary issue, a sort of biliary colic or a problem with the sphincter at the upper stomach. It also seems to be worse at the end of my pregnancy and after I give birth. I believe this is triggered by a hormone surge.
Pharmaceutical meds like acid blockers and pain relievers only mask the system so I think something like GSE with its antibacterial properties is a great idea. Also Bile Salts (with Ox Bile) helped me when I had fatty food. It seems that crappy oil like vegetable or canola exasperated the condition. Another thing to counter candida is a beneficial yeast called Saccharomyces boullardi. It wipes out candida so it's a great way to keep that in check.
Don't rush into surgeries as you've read many of us had our GB removed and still have the pain.
i wish anyone reading this relief and answers. Take care!

Just came across this article as I lay here in agonizing pain. Had a sigh of relief realizing that asparagus seems to be the culprit. Just praying it's not a re appearance of my prior GI issues. I've had some similar experiences. I found a medication that helped me. Seeing that you'd posted this a year ago, I couldn't help but wonder if you ever got any resolution? I'm hopeing this reaches you and you can reply.

I am 59 and this very thing started 6 months ago and so far asparagus, apples, oranges, apple sauce, milk can cause it. Cheese in my sandwich and Strawberry jam if I spread it on like I love it, and some bread though I haven't isolated the type of bread yet. Thank you for posting this as it certainly makes me feel better I can deal with it
