I would say you have POTS, which is a blood pressure issue. Dysatonomia.org can give you some answers perhaps

Hi,

I'm just reading your post. I've had two of these episodes and yes, I'm Hypothyroid! As a matter of fact, I had the first one after I didn't take my Synthyroid for 5 days and then I had the next one after I started taking it again like a week later.

Did your Dr. say the two are related?

I think it's called valsalva maneuver

I just want to thank you for posting this. I have had 3 episodes of this in the last 6 months (the third one was today). It has scared the hell out of me. My heart was racing at about 130 for the last 1.5 hours after bending over to pick something up at work. I did the bear down technique as described and it immediately dropped to 99. Such a relief. I’m still going to talk to my doctor about it but I was minutes away from going to the ER. Thank you so much.

Your description of symptoms seems fairly close to POTS. (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome)

Typical case of orthostatic hypotension (sudden drop in blood pressure when going from bending over/sitting/lying down to standing too quickly) ur heart beats fast cuz it's trying to get ur blood pressure back up. Don't worry, this is normal and happens to alot of people, and as long as you don't actually faint then it's not a problem. :)

*low blood sugar or dehydration makes this more likely to happen BTW :)

Check for Barlow Syndrome please ask your specialist because then for dental procedures you need antibiotics beforehand.

I have the same thing, and have for over 30 years. It still scares me when it happens but I don't have a huge panic attack anymore (which seemed to make it last longer). I have a cardiologist and was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse but it mainly occurs when I doing something with a lot of exertion like heavy gardening.

Could be acid reflux
Believe it or not , people think there having a heart attack but it’s just a build up of acid

That is called SVT there is an extra electrode in the heart which produces More electricity in the heart when blood circulation isn’t proper in heart. I had this issue since I was 14 and it’s finally treated last year when I turned 31 with EPS of heart and burning the extra Electrode which is causing a marathon heartbeat even when doing normal activities. My heart beat went as high as 250 where it should be in 85-90 range normally.
So get your doc to check for SVT or PSVT and get this resolved by EPS.
Thanks hope this helps

All of you are facing this problem because you don't have regular practice of bending down and picking up things. Guess what, sport athletes or housemaids or cargo labours don't have this problem, cause it's their routine practice.

Start doing deadlifts twice or thrice a week. 3 sets of 15, 12 & 10 reps. After a month, the problem will slowly vanish provided you're regularly deadlifting!

It sounds like what I experience- A couple of the things I've noticed that seem to help subside it is- Bearing down on breath like you said and sitting back in a 45 degree position against something or a reclined car seat! I haven't gone to get it checked because most often when I do go for something, they can't figure out what it is that's wrong and they put me through all kinds of tests, procedures and appointments for nothing! I know that I should still go though! Thank you and take care!

Sounds easy if you don't have this problem ! I workout, do dead lifts and in the middle of it most of the time, I feel like I'm going to pass out and my pulse turns rapid-I have to stop and do a couple of things that seem to subside it before I can start again-Exercise can be difficult to want to do sometimes and when you have this happening it even makes more difficult because it scary and doesn't feel very good when it happens!
