I have had this problem for over 2o years. I get vertigo, loud ringing and episodes where i am suddenly exhausted and have to sleep. I wake up feeling strange with a bunch of leaking from ears. A couple of years ago i got more symptoms , headaches, blurried vision, confusion, numbness on left side and a extreme aversion to laiding on my right side. I had MRI and showed a 3cm cyst on my right temporal lobe. It is not serious but explained a lot of my issues. In a month i had a horrible allergy attack which alleviated all yhe new symptoms. It is very strange. Look up meneries disease and consider MRI

Could be sinus drainage my ears do the same thing I take flonase and it has cleared up my one ear was so bad my eustachi tube would close up my doctor said it was sinus drainage in my ears cussed by allergies and .

Quit sugar and bad carbs, having read and experienced the same problems it all boils down to yeast infection caused by candida overgrowth. Been dealing with this for over a year now with no luck. I am now convinced that the sugar is my problem as to why the candida is not going away, even with heavy dose of probiotics so it is sugar

I had this in the right ear every time I payed on the right ear it would drain. Came across this sight that said to stop drinking caffeine and do the yoga posse legs -up-the-wall 4 times a day. Tried it and it really works. It helps the ecushian tube function better. Also see if fluid will come out of your ears when you turn on your side and run your fingers over your sinuses tor your ear.

I have had the exact same issue. Whenever I first put my headphones in I have a clear liquid begin leaking from my ear very shortly after putting my earbuds in. On a lesser note if I begin chewing food with them in it happens real quick. It's just this colorless yet really annoying issue. I haven't asked a doctor yet. I'll try and use over the head headphones like beats or JVC brand bc I had some for awhile and can't recall having this issue it just never occured to me that there might be a correlation.

Cholesteatoma

A cholesteatoma is when a keratin mass occurs in the middle ear. It can block the eustachian tube, damage surrounding tissues and increase the risk of chronic otitis media. Retraction (not perforation) of the ear drum allows the discharge to empty through the ear canal. A chronic, offensive smelling ear discharge that is scanty may be a sign of a cholesteatoma. Initially it may be painless pain can set it as the condition progresses.

Treatment

Surgery is usually necessary.

Told by my gp md that it was excema (dermatitis) and that the use of qtips only aggravated (I would also use hair pins or anything else I could find to scratch). Then years later an ent md (Dr. Myers Greenfield Ind) prescribed TOBRADEX by Alcon - antibiotic eye drops (yes eye antibiotic) - using 3 drops 3 x per day in each ear until clear of irritation and then only occasionally when needed after that. My ears completely cleared up. You must stick to the rule of NEVER putting anything smaller than your elbow in your ear canal religiously - as it is the friction on the skin in the ear canal that starts the vicious cycle all over again! So as it is with skin excema, it will never be cured but can be held at bay with the tobradex. Hoping the best for everyone who suffers with this.

I don't get head akes or anything that I notice , but yes u explained it so well just right, drives ya nuts dam right, I thought it was my wisdom teeth that was causing it to happen but they are gone for 2 years now still leaking , my teeth are good no problems, so that can't be it , dock can't tell me what it is Google has more info on this lol but I do think it's something to do with putting the q tip to far in and causing tramma witch causes the cannel to leak a bit after it is a part of it trying to heal itself , but I try to be gental not go in to far or rub too hard in the ear but soon as ear cleaned just a little bit it just wants to leak then I leave it and it gets crusty kinda( liquid drys on skin) so I clean it off with water gently and kinda works but then I'll rub my ear not on purpose but it with catch a peace of the dry sh*t and almost cause a little cut on skin sometimes anlost like a scab type thing but it's not it's just the dry liquid lol weird , don't get me wrong tho it gos away for cupple weeks sometimes then BAM I ho to bed one night and wake and ear all clogged with leaking sh*t again , almost wanna just cut dam ear off and say here doc now fix it lol

Exactly the same feeling and experience for me. I also have fluid in middle ear and vertigo due to issues in inner ear. Are they all related? I'll try let off the qtips and see ent

I thought I was going nuts I said something to my dr and he said they were fine....they don't feel fine and the ringing is driving me nuts leaking and ringing.......and cant hear well there has to be something I can do to fix this
