I have the very similar issue, and I've googeled it so many times but today finally for the first time I found this page with all you people. Wow! First of all I have to Say, I don't believe in chrinoc ilnesses nor allergies. I believe that there is alway a root cause and I am going to figure this one out as well. you guys should all be with me on this. 1 of you do the master cleanse (google it) and someone else do acupunkture, and someone go raw-food. it might eveb be that the thing which appealt to you to try for healing this might be what is best for you!? Myself I'll be cooking chinese dedicinal herbs prescribed by a tmc practicioner.
My own syptoms are that it keeps returning slowly after every drops treatment, it only flows or as if swets at night but tickels me from falling asleep, and I've has it for 3 years aprox. But when I'm in the music-room (practising singing) then I feeli like it could be the middle ear and It feels like there is some dry puss sittibg somewhere in the head as if around the ears, perhaps sinus-system-passeges-connections-something.. I'm just describing what it feels like and where I'm feeling it as the singing vibrates it etc. I guess this observation should be useful /hope so.
We will figure it out somehow just by not belieeving in silly blabla and working on the curing.
I have the same symptoms, been to 3 different doctors over 4 years, all who say could not be happening. I am frustrated by a medical community who is so superficial that they can not take the time to provide a real answer. I have been subscribed several types of expensive antibiotic ear drops and I have tried a number of home remedies. Nothing has stopped the leaking from both ears, mostly at night.
The ear I lay on at night leaks the most. I get an itch, leaking fluid, clean with Q tips and various fluids, and if I get up and move around it eases.
I am 72 years old, highly successful, high IQ, well traveled and can not find the answer. I am tired of going to doctors in over 4 states to find an answer, only to be brushed off. Looking for the Facts.
I am glad I found this because it has been going on with me for 30 years now. Wet, tickles inside...lots of Q-tips, but they really are just this.. much.. too.. short. I was thinking CSF because I read an article and it made sense at the time, but allergies sound more reasonable. Thank you. I hope our tickle-y ears dry up and we figure it out, but it could be way, way worse. If misery and blood are involved, please get yourself to a doc. Peace.
I have and itch in one ear.The drainage and flaky deposit is a reaction to food allergies such as spice, lettuce etc. I agree that allergy plays a big roll in ear problems..
is this bad!!!!
Have you looked up for information about the Ménière's disease?
what did they find out the cause was and how to treat I am having same problem and it causing hearing problems in my right ear have been to the doctors gave me ear drops the do not seem to help still acts plugged
I've had this problem for a month. No odor and worse when I'm sleeping. Liquid comes out and crusts just inside my ear. I went to the doctor today and he said it's part of ecsema that I was also recently diagnosed with. It's partially from being in a high, dry climate and a place that is severe with allergies. He told me to use just a bit of my ecsema cream that has a steroid. I don't like using steroid, but I will try it. The cream and also a swimmers ear product. I hope this isn't the start of something permanent. He said it was not an infection and my ears don't hurt, they itch.
I have problems with clear fluid drainage as well, not constant, but often enough to be annoying. I "self diagnosed" it to be something to do with the eustachian tubes not draining properly. If my ears are itching and draining, I put my finger in my ear, tilt my head to the side, and give it a good shake, like you do when you get water in it from swimming. Then I dry it - sometimes it take a few times before it stops, or even leave a cotton ball in my ear to absorb the drainage. If it is feeling clogged, with alot of pressure, pain and dizzyness - I do the same thing to get it to "pop" and drain. Sometimes, if this will not relieve the pressure, I take Sudofed,(the real Sudofed, that you have to sign at the pharmacy for) then go thru the same process. If I am laying down, I have to lay on the ear that I feel the pressure in, as laying on the opposite ear, increases the pressure in the one that's bothering me. I have been diagnosed with allergies, and had many childhood inner ear infections, so may have some scarring in there as well. I don't know if this is what caused the problem or not, but maybe my remedy will work for someone else.
I have the same problem. I also have :cradle cap" what ever the hell that is,but tried everything and no reliev. Can you put crazy glue to stop the leakage?
Have you had a root canal on that side? I found out a root canal I had done is infected and can cause issues.
yea man, same thing started to me. I think we must learn to live with it
