ok, I'm 42, have had 2 c-sections and tubal ligation. My youngest child is 17 months. I also JUST started getting this fluttering sensation over the past week or so. It's on the left side only, below belly button region, just above pelvis. No pain, just a flutter that doesn't match my heartbeat. I'm not any more stressed or panicky when it happens.
Don't tell me it's digestion - I'm 42 and have been digesting food for a long time without this type of flutter. It's not a rumble, it's a flutter. There's no pain or cramping, just the odd occasional flutter, which is new to me.
It does feel almost exactly like the early baby kicks, and it's not at all a feeling like when I have gas. Like others have posted, I've seemed to gain some weight in my abdominal area lately - I did loose some pregnancy baby-weight, but then gaining back in belly, just above c-section scar, over the past 2-3 months or so?
Could it be a tumor or parasite? Some kind of atrial blood-flow restriction-thingy?
Please don't waste anyone's time, especially your own, if you don't have some real informed suggestions or ideas of what this could be.
Thanks!!

I wouldn't worry about this, I had the Mirena in for 4 years and had it removed in May, Didn't have a period until August. Its completely normal but check with the Doctor just to be safe
In response to guest, after just seeing my doctor, and telling him what going on, he mashed and listened to my stomach and said he heard a lot of gas and pressure in my stomach. Now I have taken 2 blood test, both negative, 2 home pregnancy test, both negative and a regular and vaginal sonogram and both were also negative and my periods have been coming every month like clock work. He pretty much summed up what you said that what I was eating was causing the discomfort and flutters, he also added stress to the equation. Never felt like this except for when I was pregnant, this is driving me a little batty. Not sleeping over this. thinking about getting a second opinion.
I'm the 42-yr-old "guest" above.
Thanks for your response!
Do you think your doctor's right? If you're thinking you should get a 2nd opinion, then I say GO FOR IT. Sounds like a "I don't know what's going on but here's my guess" kinda answer to me.
Mine has eased up lately, so I don't wanna go to doc until it's full-fledged fluttering.
Best of luck! Keep posted!

I felt stomach flickering or light kicking too. I then did pregnancy test but showing negative sign..... So really what is really going on...has anyone has solution to this now?????
hi, guys i have 3 kids and for the past couple of years not all the time but now and then i will feel fluttering and kicking and even hiccups and it does feel like there is a baby in there but if you have done several pregnancy test including blood and come out negative it may sound yuk but its usually gas for some people that have had kids it could be gas or your uterus contracting. when i first felt this i went to the doctors and when the pregnancy results came back negative he did an ultrsound because i was sure i knew what being pregnant felt like so we made sure there was no baby but that feeling was nothing but gas. But just take in mind if you feel baby movements and a home test comes out negative and not convince take a trip to visit your doctor.
I just had a baby 4 months ago , and I ` ve already had my period . And now I am on my period again , but every now and then I feel this fluttering , somewhat like a baby moving inside . Sometimes it ` s in the upper part of my stomach under my rib cage . And sometimes it ` s on the lower part of my stomache , under my belly button. I ` m scared ! I don ` t want to think that I can be pregnant again , because I just had a baby . . Please can someone help me , or if someone know ` s what it can be ?
It could be an Ovarian cyst growing. I read that Ovarian cysts can happen when you have a weak liver and you may need to take a liver cleanse to help get all the toxins out of your system, then your cysts will shrink. This is only my opinion.

I am having the same thing ... missed periods, weight gain, and I am 50 YEARS old! test says no, buti feel it right under my belt line (mid abdomen.
i am experiencing the same thing. eventually we will find out bc you can't hide a pregnancy, well some people gave birth and didn't know. I am going to open up the possibility that this is a spiritual matter- I think I am spiritually pregnant, not physically. infact that is what i pray for because i am happy with the three children I have! :)
That sounds like me too. The doctor thinks its.a I'd reflux.
I have the same issues.did you ever find out what it was?
A friend of mine was going thru the same thing. She looked about 9 months pregnant found out she had a cyst and with in a week two grew fast and merged together and had to have emergency surgery. She recomended a cat scan to see what it shows.
I'm 13 never had any sexual activity I'm thin and I feel it too right below my belly button it's creepy
