Hi, I had my gallbladder removed back in 2003. I had severe pain every night about 3 hours after eating. I would wake up about midnight and have to go throw up....I lost 15 pounds until the doctor finally figured out I had gallstones and I had it removed with laproscoptic (sp?) surgery.

i would highly recomnmend you get your gallbladder out if you are having the severe pain you describe. It was much better for me afterwards....I don't really have trouble eating anything, ocassional diareah if I eat too much junk food like candy bars or spicy stuff, but otherwise I'm fine.

I wouldn't wait any loger....get it overwith! I recovered over a weekend (just resting) and did just fine!

Im the same, I seem to be full of gas and it gurgles away and ripples across inside my stomach all the time especially at night. Im beginning to think I ve may have bowel cancer, Its scarey! Ive been 10 years without my gallbladder.

I have no galblader and you are not correct when you say for us to eat fat foods...when I eat fat foods i pay the price! Its like I never had surgery. You should remain on a fat free diet if you dont want to pain.

Once you have gallbladder problem it is only a matter of time before it has to be removed anyway...you have no choice. I will tell you that after my surgery i am better then before. I still have to watch the fat foods.

Gallbladder pain is often caused by gallstones and they are easy to get out. Goolge "gallbladder flush" and there are dozens of sites that talk about it. Don't get your gallbladder out if you don't need to.

Im 21 years old and had my gallbladder removed 5 years ago. The pain was litterally unbearable. After the surgrey I woke up for the first time not in pain in over a month. It was like a miracle happened. However I do suffer from the frequent diharrea problem you've been reading about as well. But believe me when I tell you it is nothing like the pain you are going through at the moment. Eat what you like just try to eat the more greasy and fatty foods where you know there will be a bathroom you are comfortable using is around.

I had my gallbladder removed 3yrs. ago. I now have a fatty liver from it. they say that you do not need your gallbladder. after research I have done I wish I would have kept mine even through all the pain. Yes it is best to stay on a low fat diet. Your liver takes up for your gallbladder and trys to filter bile which in return makes it fatty which can become deadly.
