What were you doing to it? I've never had that happen from normal masturbation. I pull mine back as tight as I can to get the inner skin stretched out own the whole length of my shaft. That way I can dry rub the whole surface of the inner skin and the head.
The only time I made mine swollen was when I was attempting to do that tape thing to it that was described on Circlist that is supposed to make it stay back without having to hold it back.
One time I tried putting a metal key ring over it then pulled it back over the ring with a slightly larger ring on it which I worked over the smaller one, hoping it would stay back there to keep my head bare for dry rubbing. It sort of worked but not too well and it pinched the foreskin and made it sore for a few days. I didn't bother trying that again.
Don't worry about it. It's only skin and it will heal, just like anywhere else on your body.
