I had a root canal done on a tooth, but continued to have throbbing pain from time to time.  Then, a pustular sack started on the gum outside the tooth.  It would break and then return.  I went to the dentist (not a dermatologist...that's for skin problems) and he took an x-ray to find that the tooth with the root canal had formed a cyst under the tooth and was now absessing.  He immediately pulled the tooth and removed the infection.  Thank goodness...the throbbing has stopped and no more pustular sack.  Get to your dentist right away...sounds like you are having what I had!!

Get to your dentist right away. I had something similar and I had a cyst under the tooth and it was absessing. The tooth will probably need to be removed = mine was. Good luck

i have the same thing happening to me now! i had a root canal done in may 2014 and i kept going to the dentist telling them something didn't feel right, they ignored it until the saw the little white pus pimple, then they send me to the specialist and told me i need to get it reconstructed again. and the little white pimple keeps coming back in the same place and i also use Listerine.

I have the exact same thing for a month now. It pops up on its own and I keep brushing and use salt water. I feel no pain. My doctor advice not to use listerin because it os alcohol based and just keep using warm salt water. She said she won't do anything because dhe doesn't know what it is and she didn't even give me antibiotics. She said I have to wait and see if it gets bigger or painful. Well it is not so I don't know what to do.

For the past year I've had the same type of thing. This bump comes and goes. I know it's forming due to the amount of pain in my tooth. Its the lower left canine, I think it's the same as yours lol. 8yrs ago I had a root canal done and just last week I was in the dentist because this darn tooth, lower left canine, has been really hurting. They opened the tooth up and found an old piece of cotton that the prior dentist,8yrs ago, had left in the tooth. So my dentist figured out the tooth hadn't been properly cared for nor was the root canal performed correctly. Now this morning,4 days after Dr visit, I've got another darn puss bubble forming. Did you ever figure out the problem or why you were getting this bump?

I recommend a holistic approach, don't jump on the toot canal band wagon. Avoid getting a root canal at all costs. I had an infection that was so severe i had to get antibiotics....my jaw was swollen so huge. But that was after 5 years of living with the tooth having not one problem! I have a chunk of my molar that broke off. I have had the pus pimple for about 1 month, everyday, i pop it, and have decided to reaffirm my choice of not getting a root canal. I dont believe in traditional medicine because it seems to be too powerful that it causes more harm in the long run. Im not a crazy hippy, i just know that the body is to be kept as clean and free from foreign substances as possible and the mouth is where pain is the least tolerable and dentists are rushing to put foreign objects like toxic metals. Root canals are expensive and at best only temporary. If your tooth is reslly bad, just get it removed, its cheaper that the grand spent on the root canal.

I have a simular problem! Mine is in front above my left front tooth! It looks just like a pimple and I popped it (of course) it keeps coming back and in the same spot! Sometimes it throbs and hurts but mostly I barely know it's there! I have a root canal about a year ago and that's when it showed up. So it's not my root!

Hey guys,

I have the same puss issue as everyone else, had it taken care of today.

All that is going on is that you have an infected root somewhere and it is causing puss to come out through your gums because it is looking for the easiest way yo exit.

root canal or extraction is the solution.

Had the same thing for several years keep popping pimple but comes back when I don't have a pimple if I press above tooth I get horrible taste doesn't seem to have caused problem yet dentist never notices anything don't let on as I don't want tooth out as its my front one! Had x ray on another tooth and it showed root canal filled one too but he said it was OK so long as it drains it looks OK suppose eventually something will have to be done but not today!!!!!

Have the same problem only just confessed to the dentist! Had xray the root canal and apectomy that I had is failing the pimple is a drain for infection its my front tooth and reluctant to have it out dentist says its not ideal leaving tooth in but whilst I can drain it he will review it in six months as it should not cause problems so OK for time being but know I'm only delaying the inevitable! but that's not today!!!!!!
