A couple of weeks ago I noticed this itching sensation on the right side of my labia minora. I attributed it the wet wipes I had just recently started using and quit using them. The itching decreased a bit and sometimes it wouldn't bother me at all so I kinda just forgot about it until tonight. It was bothering me tonight so I decided to investigate. I felt a hard lump and squeezed a bit just to see what would happen. Nothing came out and I started freaking out. I am so thankful to have stumbled upon this and to know that I am not alone. I read all 13 pages of comments. While I was reading I noticed the itching was starting to become more intense. I got up and went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was blood on the toilet paper. It was dark colored and I noticed a "chunk" of what I'm assuming was some kind of tissue. It resembled the lining that is shed during my monthly cycle but scaled down in size. I'm hoping this will be end of it. I was just about to try the warm compress when I noticed the blood. I still might just so it can really drain. I also have problems with cysts popping up in my underarm, groin and buttocks areas. I'm going to assume that this is related. I know it's so tempting to squeeze and try to pop them but I would advise against it. The soaking in warm water really helps! This one I think was on its way out and I just helped it along. Maybe squeeze once and if nothing happens LEAVE IT ALONE! Tea tree oil also helps but I'm not sure if I would use it on the ones on the labia minora. Good luck ladies and if nothing else have it checked by a doctor. I know it's scary and embarrassing but they see things like this all the time. They're used to it. I had to get one drained on my inner thigh (the crease between my thigh and "goodies") once and the doctor was totally professional and calm. The numbing agent stung a little but that was the worst part. Anyway sorry for the long post but I just wanted to put my 2 cents in.
How did they remove it? Was it an invasive procedure?
I have your problem as well. It hurts way too much to squeeze and feels solid. I do believe it is a fluid build up, unfortunately we all differ because mine are usually a day or two after intercourse. But everything else sounds exactly the same. Every time I've tried to look this up I just find the same things over and over again about the Bartholin gland cysts nd what not. But obviously that's not the right spot. No help yet?
Just out of curiosity, as I have these "lumps" as well, how many of you ladies that get these bumps use always brand maxi pads?
I don't use maxi pads but I think any brand would aggravate the area due to moisture if not changet frequently.
Yes, I would also advise against tea tree oil , definitely100%. In an act of desperation one day recently I put a little of the oil on a cotton ball to treat a small cyst down there. I left it on for 30 mins and what resulted was far worse than any bump ever... the area of skin on and around the bump was completely eviscerated. .. It looked like a first degree burn and hurt like hell when I peed. After about one week i started my skin coloration started to return but it took 2 wks to heal completly. Never again! Warm compress is the way to go.
I read all about your bump and I have the same exact thing going on its crazy weird out of nowhere and I haven't been sexually active in years it's very strange how women get theses things mine is on my labia sore red swollen labia bump that's hard it's strange. I'm going to the Obgyn on Friday to see what's going but yes I evan put baby cream on it it so it's not dry and doesn't rube when you move around very tender offel feeling. I hope you feel better love your not alone I feel your pain. I hope it goes away for you and doesn't ever come back so sorry your going through it. Maryalice❤️
It does help! Thank you so much!
Omg currently experiencing the same thing. I sat in a hot bath and squeezed them. One of them did bleed once before but i believe that was because i was irritated from the swelling.
Hello everyone, I have been having a similar problem for years. Here are my symptoms, I am curious if anyone has something similar. I usually get these bumps around my period, after sexual activity or around ovulation. Sometimes I can go months without anything or they can be back to back. They are on my labia minora usually around the outer areas. Sometimes they pop and sometimes they don't, when they do pop blood and yellow fluid like puss come out. Something that I have noticed is sometimes I accidentally find them when I'm showering or other times I get a burning/warm/hot sensation in my vulva area which let's me know to be expecting one to pop up . does this happen to anyone? Are you able to tell that one (bump) is coming? I have HPV (diagnosed 5 years ago/ abnormal pap), I have never had any growths or anything like that. In Feb of last year I was fed up with the like boogers so I went to my gyn. I asked of it was herpes or what it could be. I told him that I was diagnosed with HPV a few years back, he said that the sore/pimple/bump was from HPV. I think that's total BC since it sometimes pops and then goes away. Its not flesh colored its like a small boil. I am going to the gym this week and lucky me I have two of them one on each side, I can clearly see puss under one. I will be sure to ask 1 million questions and hopefully have a better idea how I can't treat/ prevent them.... Good luck girls...
Did you ever find anything out for yours? Mine has coincided with numerous UTIs as well. My gyno thinks its a swollen lymph node, but I don't know....
Really? I just found this on the right side of the labia minora and I tried popping it...do I leave it alone?
I've had the same problem and also had them in my labia major once. I've been told it's backed-up glands and will go away with time and sexual activity. It still makes me nervous. I get sick very easily and get skin infections quite often (especially acne-related infections). It makes me worried I could have hypothyroidism or another immunosuppressant disease.
Hi Ladies,
I was curious about this too as I've had it happen a couple times. Due to the location and it doesn't seem like it's happening near any glands or nodes that other cysts occur in, I'm inclined to believe it might possibly be related to Hidradenitis Suppurativa, which I have. I tend to get these bumps in the labia minora around my cycle, and I'm also currently having an HS breakout. Hidradenitis Suppurativa is really common and a lot of people may have it and not really notice. The beginning stage of it usually is getting boils all over in places where apocrine glands are, like genitals, thighs, buttocks, under breasts, and armpits. People with mild HS often assume it's acne. HS is not always progressive or may progress slowly over many many years and never go to a gruesome stage 3. I've had HS since I was 15. I'm now 28. It's painful and annoying, but basically I just get a lot of cyst like regions that have pressure and are painful, and reoccur. I've never gone through the things of stage 3 people. If you have experienced any symptoms related to HS, these bumps inside the labia minor could possibly be related. I see at the top of the page Dr Judith answered this thread question and she also mentions HS. Might be worth checking into. PLEASE don't panic when you read about HS. It is horrible. But hundreds of thousands of people live with it in the US and like I said, some of them never progress or really get anything other than the boils. The progressiveness only effects some. It's good to raise the awareness about HS, because I'm starting to notice a pattern in my groups, it's often linked to people with autoimmune disorders and things like ulcerative colitis, crohns, and other diseases causing inflammation in the body. Exercise and changing your diet to less inflammatory foods can help reduce body inflammation for anyone. The body even in a healthy person tends to react to what we put in our bodies and our lifestyles. Hopefully some of this may help somebody.

Been reading this thread and your comment stood out to me because I started getting these lumps while using always maxi pads. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I have switched to Stayfree. Hopefully it helps.
