HI- your sounds like a Bartholin cyst (when the Bartholins glands become infected). It is painful, yet the treatment is even mores...an OB will surgically incise and drain and place a drainage catheter to stay inserted for days while on antibiotic. My sure gave no anesthetic, no numbing, no sedation or painkillers after and no compassion. It was quite traumatic.
Planned parenthood or a free clinic are low or no cost medical facilities that will be happy to see you.
I have the same problem from time to time. A lot of women do, but we don't talk about them. A few years ago, they found a cyst on one of my ovaries. It was after that, I started to notice these hard bumps. It doesn't happen often, and most of the time there is only one. I don't have a regular period, but I have noticed that when I do menstruate they show up after. Not every time. Maybe once or twice a year. I used to use pads, but have since started to use tampons and notice it less. At first, I tried to squeeze and noticed it was hard. I started to squeeze harder, but it hurt quite a bit. I left it alone and it went away in a little over a week. I have found that long hot baths help. Sometimes I use Epsom salt. I just sit in the water as hot as I can stand it. I keep my legs open and let the water sooth it. It usually goes away in a couple of days after I do this. I hope this helps.
Hey ladies! I just dealt with this myself and was freaking out! I actually used essential oils and it healed within 2 days! Give me a shout if you'd like to chat about these oils

I have the same bump for the first time I just started being back sexually active after months. But I AM ovulating right now so maybe I shouldn't be freaking out yet until I go to the doctor in a couple days. It doesn't look like herpes or anything else I've seen when looking for images so hopefully the doctor can let me know what it is.
This does THANK YOU cuz I haven't even slept! Freaking out! Going to the doctor in a couple days so I'll post about it good/bad or otherwise simply b/c we have to make ourselves aware. I just got off my period and am now ovulating so maybe it is what you said. I also only have one bump on the right side where no hair grows.
I have little bumps on the lips of my vagina, on each side they don't hurt but every blue moon one will flare & hurt really bad. The doctor said they might be cysts, what r they & how can I get rid of them... They make me ashame when having sex... Please help
It is not a bartholin cyst unless it is located near the bottom of the vaginal canal opening (i.e. in the entrance of the vaginal opening towards the bottom; that is wear that bartholin gland is). In other words labial cysts are not bartholin cysts. The first time I got a cyst on my labia it was getting big and painful, I went to the doctor, and they have me oral antibiotics and an injection of antibiotics and it broke open within the hour. For me it seems somewhat related to dairy consumption. Also it may be related to auto-immune diseases/issues. In other words if you have an auto-immune disease, your body has a hard time fighting off minor infections, so the cysts abscess.
While you may have PCOS, I dont believe PCOS is diagnosed with cysts on the labia. The cysts in PCOS are supposed to occur on the ovaries not on the labia.
It is not a bartholin cyst only is occurs towards the bottom, and at the opening of the vaginal canal (at the opening entrance) Cysts on the labia are not bartholin cysts.
I have these too. It took me about a year to find on internet. Most drs don't know about them. They are called Hydradenitis suppurativa. Take 1000 mg of L-lysine per day or more till gone. There is also a book out on it that claims it's related to our diets. Good luck everyone!
I have the same thing right now! This is my second time having one. I am 33 YO and sexually active, but I know i don't have any STI's. It is a lump IN my right labia Minora, and it hurts when I squeeze it gently between my fingers. Can someone please please please tell me what this is...
I just said the name of it above. You should be able to take 1000 mg three times a day of L-Lysine until it's gone. I notice a change in size after a few days. Don't stop taking it until it's gone. I am thinking about staying on it everyday because my bumps are coming back more frequently.
I have a cyst there too. I think it is Bartholin's Cyst.
I can confirm it is not diagnosed with cysts on the labia. You are correct in that one of the ways in which it is diagnosed is by cysts being present on one or both ovaries.
