Hi, I just came across your post an wanted to know if you got off the methadone? I was hit by a drunk driver in 2000. I've been on all kinds of pain killers. Most it seemed I would develop a high tolerance to them an they would quit working. Well I ended up with a bleeding ulcer in my intestine. I had to get 5 bags of blood just to get my blood count up. Then 4 years later I started vomiting blood. I had to get 4 bags of blood again. They started the 5th one but I had some kind of allergic reaction so they couldn't give me anymore. So they took me off everything that was aspirin based and my anti-inflammatory pill

s. Then they started me on methadone. I was taking 300 10mg pills every month. Well once the pharmacist got involved I was cut in half right off the bat. The pharmacist was to afraid for me to take that many. I said I've been taking this much for months. But she refused so it was cut in half. Then I had an EKG that showed my heart was beating wrong an if it continued I was definitely going to have a heart attack. So they cut them again. Now I take 2 pills in the morning an two at bedtime. I have a lot of breakthrough pain midway through the day. Did you get off the methadone? I'm going to wean myself off of them by cutting a small bit off the pills. Then after 2days I'm going to cut it down a little more until I'm completely off the methadone. Did you notice any excessive smacking of sugar while you were taking methadone? I would sleep eat during the night an gained like 60 pounds. I seen where the methadone clinic puts patients on a vitamin called Vitadone. I couldn't afford it but seen where someone said Centrum silver has the exact same ingredients. But I started taking them an I'm down almost 50 pounds. Hardly ever have any sugar cravings.
