The part about worrying about what the guy might think/feel is disgusting. If you say you're a virgin then YOURE A VIRGIN if they don't believe you that's on them. They should be aware that sex isn't the only thing that breaks your hymen. Using tampons, fingering yourself, and even bicycle seats can do that. It doesn't matter if they might feel honored to break your hymen because a girl losing their virginity isn't just about how the guy feels. And she's allowed to do what she wants with her body. I started sexually exploring at 11. Its normal. I don't see anything wrong with wanting to break your hymen yourself especially to avoid displeasure of when you lose your viriginity. I'm about that age too and in my experience it's more for ourselves than anything, like men or being pressured. We want to know how it feels without having to be with someone first, and of course it's personal. It hurts a lot and it would be awkward to experience it with someone/ with all that blood and pain involved. Plus were going through puberty and all that and we don't want it to hurt when we want to feel good. I know its not good to rush it but this is for ourselves only. In the case that you are doing this for a man then just let it be, but it's usually for ourselves and we want to feel good without any pain.

Virginity isn't really real. It's an illusion. Like a hymen can't determine whether you've had sex before or not. There are people who were born without a hymen, and there are some born with one. So really, anyone could break theirs (girl wise) and still be a virgin and have not had a sexual relationship with anyone before.

Some of the responses to this question are making me very mad. Just because you break your hyphen doesn't mean you have lost your virginity. Masturabting doesn't take away your virginity either. And guys don't care if you're not a virgin. They probably won't even notice. It's a natural thing to masturbate and it's healthy for your body. If it hurts when you try to finger yourself, just start really slow and shallow. You can go faster and deeper everyday. I don't think there is a way to really break it without pain though.
