Hi, my advice to anyone that is looking for relief on withdrawl symptoms, well what works for me is..dont judge me..but smoking a bowl of good hydro. I dont smoke cigs, but when you get that antzy feeling and your body is aching and your legs feel like you've just run 7 miles, and when your back feels like someone got a bat and bashed it in (i suffer from scolosis), I swear good ganja helps. If you cant get any good dro because it can get pricey or sometimes its just hard to find depending on where you live, just some regular bud can at least take edge off. I'm prescribed 7.5 hydrocodene because of my bad back. It has gotten worse after i had my daughter almost 2 years ago (she'll be 2 on the 13th of this month) and my dr. prescribes me 120 a month and i also take 1mg xanax twice a day for my anxiety attacks and not being able to sleep well. Also anti anxiety meds like valium, xanax or klonopin help with opiate withdrawl. Also if you have a bad back like i do, i swear going to a chircopractor helps. I dont have insurance, but paying $30 to see this glorious back doctor for half an hour is great. it helps so much and relaxes you. Also for me lots of fluids like water, orange juice, etc. and relaxing on a heating pad. it really does take the edge off. I have never tried saboxine. I do hear from many people it helps but then i've also heard it just makes you get addicted to something else. So I've yet to try it. I mean maybe i will one day if i have to. Hope this helps and good luck to everyone!!

Thank you quite inspiring. I am 15 days into dropping off 40ml of meth its brutal. Alll i have used is co-codamol 30/500 didnt touch the sides just hurt my liver even on the right dose.Got put on it to come off morphine that i was sourcing on the side as doctors wont give me such things due to my drug abuse history. I am a bit worried about how bad my sciatica and back pain will be once fully detoxed whenever that is. Any other advice.........? Joe

excessive sweating is usually a sign either you''re med's are wearing off and it's time for more or it's also a side effect that you can sweat especially on the face back head and creases of the body. There are medications you can ask your doctor about that can help you they are really the people best to decide which symptom is happening and son't try to self fix it it could make it worse! Jst tell your doctor it's what they are for <3

I'm new here and desperate to find out how to ease the sickness of withdrawal. I stopped using a week ago after trying to use Suboxone strips, but couldn't sleep except the first night. My husband got a couple of strips for me so I could get off. I used it for five days, then used oxy again like 150 mgs. in a 24 hour time frame. I needed to sleep. The next y I used 35mg adn haven't used since so I guess that was cold turkey. I can't even use a benzo for relief because I had been addicted to them. I accidentally became physically addicted six yrs. ago. Stopped taking it and found out what the term " cold turkey meant. I never used drugs and then I GET ADDICTED A PRESCRIPTION! I wish the doctor would have warned me. Thing is never needed that drug. Well there is more to this but I have no more space. HELP! I do need sleep. That's why I use this stupid drug and now I am right back where I stated, actually worse...much worse. My health, which was excellent is now ruined and I WANT IT BACK. thanks for any advice

Louise, I am on Day 12 of complete opiate withdrawal. Get your doctor to prescribe Baclofen 10 or 20mg. It truly works and made my withdrawal so much easier...even bearable. People have been telling me that my eyes are sparkling. I haven't heard that in years. My physical illness is pretty bad at times. I suffer from RA. The clear head is worth it! Just start again when you have the Baclofen. It didn't start working till the next day after about 3 doses. I relaxed and slept about 4 or 5 hours which was certainly better than no sleep at all. Your body is so used to the drugs that it's still going to hurt somewhat to quit. If I can do it so can you.

Hello all. I have read through a lot of the posts and they are very inspiring and I'm glad so many of you made it. I started taking Vicodin at 20 after a shoulder surgery while playing baseball in college and I found out how good it made you feel and I started abusing them. At 21 I quit cold turkey and it was pretty bad I remember but I was a lot stronger back then haha. Anyway I started abusing pain meds again last fall as a co- worker offered me some and I've been doing them ever since. My wife and I just found out we are pregnant with our first child and I just landed a great job opportunity so I said I'm done with this. Anyway, my question is this. I am on day two of quitting cold turkey. I was off of them for a week or so taking suboxone but then I messed up and took about 2-3 80mg Oxys for four or five days. Last night was brutal. I was sick all night and didnt sleep. I am taking immodium and plenty of vitamins and liquids as well as eating lightly. I am feeling much better on day two, but can I expect the physical withdrawals to worsen still or continue to improve. I am ok with the mental and psychological part of it. I start my new job next week and I am determined to be off pills and back to being a gym rat and taking care of my family, but I was curious about the physical withdrawals. I thought I'd feel a lot worse on day two, but I actually feel better so far. Thanks everyone

Good Luck my friend. I'm 14 days cold turkey...no opiates. I have good days way more often than bad now. Hang in there. It is worth it. Definitely!

Go to ER and be truthful! They will help you. You'll be okay and so will your baby.

How long did it last until you "made it:? I'm starting today and I care for my 2yr old grandson so I really need answers. I'm really scared!

I had a good day on Day 4. Then I felt pretty bad till Day 8 or 9 when things seemed to settle down and my head began to clear. When you absolutely HAVE to do something like take care of your grandson, you'll make do. Just say you have the flu. Not comparable to taking care of your grandson but I was able to take care of my elderly dog and cat who are somewhat demanding. Do it!!! I'm on Day 17 and I feel good, really good!
