I went to my local eye A&E where they performed a minor procedure & removed several deposits which came suddenly causing pain. They scratched my eye & I had blurring of my vision. I had not heard of this before but... the doctor was so helpful & reassuring so maybe you could explore this avenue.

I also develope calcium deposits under my eyelids and went into a clinic and the Dr pretty much popped like a pimple. It's was quick and not to painful. Naturally with your eye being irritated with them messing with it it'll sting for a little bit but you pretty much get instant relief.

Yes I had same procedure done today - the eyelids were flicked over and these drposits were removed. I have 4 different drops to use before my next appointment next week: antibiotic drops, steroids, Manuka honey eye drops and a night cream. There's some stinging of course and I will know next week if th8s has been a successful procedure.

My doctor numbs the eyelid and then thoses that are near the surface, he uses a small twissers (sp) to pull them out. When it was discovered about two months ago (In July) he found about 25 pimple like deposits undder my right eyelid. He removed 9 that had dropped down. I am scheduled to return every three months. I had cataract surgery on my left eye today, so I have two issues to deal with and I am 74 and would rather not have these issues. But that comes with the territory. I certianly don't want to go blind.

I developed irritation in my right eye recently. I went to my local hospital here in Thailand where I was told I had a 'calcium stone'. The doctor removed it immediately. Relief.

I have had them for years. I wear contact lenses. Just now at lunch, I rubbed my fingernail over a large one in the far corner of my eyelid. Within five minutes, I felt like I had gunk in my eye. I rubbed over it and there was this grain of sand sized calcium rock. It came out! My eye feels great now.

I have this same problem w calcium deposits every fall. It feels like there is sand in my eyes. it's easily treatable- go to a new eye doctor and they will give you antibiotic eye droplets for a week and it will go away. I promise.

Not going to happen unfortunately. I've been living with it for awhile, and it is what it is.

I just went to the eye doctor for itchy irritation in my right eye. They said it was calcium deposits. The eye doctor prescribed Tobradex and a week later he scraped the deposits off with a q-tip. It was uncomfortable & still is. I am now using systane artificial tears for irritation. I hope this helps
