The only thing I could do is commiserate with you. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no answers. If I should be so lucky as to ever find a solution, I will post it on this site. Best wishes.
did any of you get any scans done? I recently got one done(all planes this time), and even if the radiologist didn't notice anything, i noticed a contact point that seems to be in the same place i feel the pain, that also sends me pain/pressure to the inner bony corner of the eye, along my left side of the bridge. my pain is of 2 different kinds: sometimes burning in nature and sometimes it's less burning but i feel a pressure on the whole bony left side of my nose.
i'm no doctor but the point kind of seems hidden from the endoscope reach, so i guess that's why doctors didn't see it? but i'm surprised the radiologist didn't say anything and only mentioned the hypertrophy of my lower right turbinate, while that point was actually quite visible and it was in the place where i complained about the pain! I will go to the ENT in a few weeks and show it to them. i'm very anxious to see what they have to say, if they will really try to help me.
i would like to show you the contact point; but i'd like to take in touch with you firstly, because, maybe it sounds kind of negative, but honestly i think people wouldn't come back here and help others out back. This experience has changed me and how i view the world a lot. Before i would help someone just when i could, but now i see that no one damn cares even if they see me in excruciating pain while they COULD help me. some were even rude to me, tell me i'm crazy or a liar, treated me with a lot of lack of empathy. my bf stopped talking to me when i told him i'm sick... that was a whole traumatic experience,it's been almost a year and i think i won't ever recover from the damage.
I'd like to help you out, because i feel your pain, but on the other hand i feel it's pretty hard to trust people anymore and i feel mad at the same time. I think people wouldn't come here back, in the first place because they would forget about the forum after it's solved, and they wouldn't invest that much energy in other people's suffering. I'm sorry if someone who's reading this thinks i'm wrong and they would do that, maybe there are still some good people out there.
I hope you all understand me.I'm still feeling bad but i'm trying really hard to stay strong on my feet and concentrate my energy into solving this, though sometimes i feel it's really hard to do it on my own.
hi, i've answered to you above this message. i've tried to contact you but i couldn't because you're not a registered user. you could register and we could get in touch.
Ok...I registered...Now I'll read your previous post and respond tomorrow..Thank you
i've just replied to your private message. it would be great to not only post on this forum but to additionally have each other's e-mail addresses. For instance, I've tried to contact old users and my message is still in the outbox(which means that they didn't even read my message, otherwise it would be in the Sentbox). Now, who knows if they eventually found out and got a treatment? or if they didn't find out we could brainstorm together, and everyone would benefit of that.
so everyone who reads this, please register on this forum, send me a private message so that we can get in touch. I'm in touch with everyone and I'll let others know as soon as someone figures it out, or I figure it out myself. I can't stress it how important it is to stay in touch.
I only get it during the winter so i always thought it was some kind of a sinus cold. For me, i get it by breathing in freezing temperatures, than going in somewhere and breathing in warm air, or eating/drinking hot food/drinks. It's frustrating because it happens after staying out in the cold for not even 15-20 minutes. Also it feels better once i go back out to the cold, so for me, it I think it might have something to do with the nose dealing with the changes in temperature. I've tried breathing with just my mouth when I'm out in the cold, and it significantly helped.
Hi,
I am also feeling a light cold feeling from my left nostril to my head ( left side ).
Dr. says I have deviated nasal septam and chronic sinusitis.
Please let me know what I can do to avoid these.
Can yoga help in this.
i too have the same problem, it started about 3 weeks ago. When i inhale it burns way back in the sinuses i,ve been trying all sorts of sprays and lubes nothing helps much. Sleeping is the hardest thing for me. It wakes me up and i just cannot get back to sleep. It really effects my eye makes it extremely dry and painful. Planning on going to the uw medical center in Seattle soon. Hope that they can help.
thanks,
larry
I have had nose pain for like 3 months now had two doctors say it was sinus infection put me on meds but did not help.So I went to an ent dr and he said I had a med size bonespur in my nostril had never heard of this before, Says the only thing to do is to have it cut out which I do not want to do I have no insurance and it will cost a lot. So he gave me a med to use to numb the inside when Im out in the cold. mine gets worst when I breath cold air. Thank God I went 3 weeks with no pain it was kinda warm here. Now the pain is back and I have also been on magneiusm pills was told by someone that this could help. Hope u all get the help u need. me also
Does the numbing medicine (placed on the contact point) help with the the pain? I don't want to scare you, but breathing cold air in time might make the nerve more and more sensitive. So it was for me:(. I wish someone told me this. At first I only had pain with cold air, but now when I'm on the inside I feel as if I would breath very cold air, although the temperature is warm inside. I highly recommend you to solve the problem if you are sure that it is caused by the spur. But you have to do the anesthetic test first to see if the pain goes away, before you risk making it worse.
I also have a contact point, but somewhere else, not near a spur, but doctors tell me that only bone spurs can cause pain and not contact points like mine. I have to convince someone to do the test because this pain is getting unbearable...
I Have The Exact Same Problem As Everyone Else! I Think I Found Out What It Is, Its Called Acute Sinusitis - Mild cases of acute sinusitis, usually viral, last just a few days, and often go away with home treatment. However, sinusitis can become a full-blown bacterial infection with fevers, chills, and severe sinus pain. Doctors often prescribe antibiotics to treat a bacterial infection. For severe cases, doctors may prescribe cortisone to drain the sinuses. In rare cases, doctors surgically open the sinuses to get at a deep seated infection. With proper treatment, most sinus infections clear up in 1 to 2 weeks, but some require several courses of antibiotics. Many people develop chronic sinusitis, the most common chronic infection in the U.S.

This started for me at a concert last night. Got really dizzy and felt faint, had to actually squat down to avoid falling over or passing out. When I got to a railing to hold onto I then began to notice my right eye was watery and right side nasal passage was kinda sore when I'd breath in. Has not stopped since, my concern led me here, really weird. I've never felt like that before, so totally out of control, it really scared me. Not sure if 2+ hours of standing/loud music had anything to do with it. Not my first concert...possibly my age? I'm 53 female. The dizziness scared me more but this eye/nasal thing is really aggravating.
im having the exact same problem right now started after being attacked by perfume early in the morning at work then excercised came back into office and started having a sneezing attack. are any of you also allergic to perfume or certain fragrances
