Danc341- I came across your post and was hoping that you still belong to this site:
I had a sigmoid colon resection done in May 2012. I did not need to have a bag either and I am so thankful for that as well. But, being 6 months post op I have been experiencing problems as well. I am schedleued to go into radiology this week for a barium ennema so that they can look at the imaging to see the width of the opening. The doctor said that he is pretty sure that I will also need to have a endoscopic stretching. Like your Doctor he said that this happens quite a bit after colon resectioning and that I should not be alarmed, I am terrified. I went into the hopspital last May for something totally different and ended up withnot only the colon resection but removal of appendics and part of my intestines as well. Soto be honest with you I am scared. I hope that you see this message I would love to know how you did with this (stretching) and how you are feeling and doing now
