Wrong........... My sister is one of those folks. She cuts her hair 1-2 times per year. Her hair continually grows for several years before it goes into the resting stage (catagen). I know firsthand.

Fortunately I don't smoke and have a "so-so" diet. I do take a multi-vitamin and a variety of supplements and drink plenty of water. However my husband is a chain smoker and eats "EVERYTHING" without modesty and his hair grows faster than mine. Your idea may be somewhat correct, but I strongly believe that hereditary and how long your hair stays within the growing (anagen) phase has a great deal to do with it. There are supplements such as MSM that you may take to lengthen the anagen phase. I don't know how much longer, but it does work.

you should definitely take a multi-vitamin. Not only will it round out any deficiencies but it will improve follicle health. Increase circulation to follicle by massaging scalp with fingers, also use some rosemary oil on fingertips as it acts as a stimulant for circulation. Regular exercise and a healthy diet of grain vegetables, fruits, NUTS will help. Nuts are high in good fatty acids which are good for tissue development.
Now that does seem a bit impossible. From shoulder length to thigh in 3 months? That would be approximately 28 inches (in 3 months). Sorry I don't believe it. No way. Should length-bra strap (BSL) length (6 in.), BSL-waist length (WL) (6 in.), WL-Tailbone length (TBL) (6 in.) and TBL to Thighs (4 in.) = 28 in (give or take an inch or so). Genetics or not -- NO Way!
I really believe that we should be honest. No one can grow their hair from shoulder length to thighs in only three months. Come one now.
