Hello I'm Christa. I am 17 and I am married. I have been with my husband almost 3 years and we've been married 3 months today. We both work and we've lived on our own since July. We've been trying for a child recently but haven't had any luck. I've been tracking my ovulation and I should get pregnant if I try around December 4th. I've been told I will not be able to conceive but I haven't given up hope. Wish me luck :-)

Hello world, I'm 17 and engaged to my best friend! We're getting married in December and I can't wait but we really want a baby and we've been trying for 10 months and nothing is working! I had endometriosis and had a pelvicoscopy done and now I'm worried it's too late for us. It's causing my fiance and I alot of stress and no he can barely stay hard! I have no idea what to do or where to go from here!

My obgyn said you aren't considered infertle until you have been ttc for at least a year.... and that is only when you are having regular sex wich means at least 2 to 3 times a week for one whole year so Good news to some of you who haven't been trying that long it still can happen!! However I don't want to lead you in the wronge direction it can be more complicated than that i too have PCOS and had been trying for over a year when i first went to the dr.... I was on treatement for 6 months and still nothing and am kinda taking a break from it for a whil... I do recomend watch ovulation as well... my ob told me the easiest way to track it is find most people start ovulation on days 12 through 14 that starts on the day you start your cycle for instance if you start your cycle on the 12th you will most likely ovualte on days 24 through 26 start having sex on day 23 and stop on day 29 just to be sure... you can also watch for signs of mucus that comes out of your vigina you will have more clear and thin mucus close to ovulation and honestly I myself as well as many women i have talked to really feel the urge to have sex close to there ovulation i guess the bodies way of telling us its time!! but I do want to say If you feel like there may be something wronge dont wait to find out cause there may be and its always better to catch earlier... Im not going to say dont stress cause thats not an easy thing to control when you want a baby that bad I know... and I'm also not going to tell you your too young cause you already know that your young just be ready for whatever may happen be safe(obviously not condom safe)lolol and make sure your ready for whatever comes cause this is an emotional struggle I wish you all the best and I still have faith that it will happen when its time... ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** private e-mails not allowed **

Ps you may not want to hear this but you could always pray about it that it happens when its time and direction from God that has helped me so much to keep on and not give up!!

This is upsetting, I'm 17 and pregnant. While you may believe it's going to make you oh so happy and you're all ready. I can nearly guarantee that you aren't. Or will soon come to find that you aren't, just as I have. I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years, and neither of us are ready. The length of your relationship doesn't mean that much if you can't support a child. I hope that none of you have a child before you are ready. By the way it sounds, you truly aren't. I'm also a firm believer in getting a good education, which involves a college degree. Which, obviously, you don't have. Birth control is a neccessity for all sexually active women, until marriage. I got pregnant when my birth control failed. It's a scary time, and if I had it my way, this whole ordeal would be put off until atleast my twenties and after years of a happy marriage. Think about what this means for your life. Think about what this would mean for your family, if your parents or grandparents are in your life, think about which one of them you'll be dropping this baby on. It's not something that will only change your life. I hope you rethink your decision, or maybe someone will smack some sense into you.

hi, i really know how the young girls feel when they want to get pregnant and can't. it hurts but when the time is right it will and you'll realise that it was good for u when it happened. I'm young too, not as young as most of u but i'm getting married soon and we already live together but no matter how hard we tried we just cant get the baby we want so much. we did all the test, took the prenatal vitamins and everything but it still won't happen. i started stressing and it made us start to grow apart bcus i kept getting mad whenever i got my periods. Now i'm still not pregnant and i just know it will happen one day but its not our day yet. Just hold on, have faith, finish your education and build a foundation for your kids in the mean time and when ur all ready u'll get ur blessing. Good luck to everyone thats still trying

I tried having a baby at 17 also, I'm only 18 now but i did realize now that i'm graduating. It's probably ALOT easier. Even with cyber schooling. I know sometimes these ladies will get to you because some people on the internet were so mean they made me CRY!  Also being too young can cause problems. I actually miscarried December 28th 2009. That's what made me want a baby so bad. But as much as I hate to admit it. Yes, I'm happy I graduated. My Fiance Makes 20/an hour and TRUST ME! It's hard enough keeping up with everything as it is without a baby.

i am also 17 and i have been trying to get pregnant for about 9 months now and it hasnt happened. I went to my doctor and gor an ultra sound, they said i had overian cysts and i heard that could be a reason why i wasnt getting pregnant but i never went back to check on them but my new doctor recently told me that they could go away on their own. So im really sad because i do not know why i am not getting pregnant. i do not have regular periods i havent gotten one in about 3-4 months now so any advice i would like to hear

I am also only 17, my boyfriend will be 20 in a couple of days. We have been together for over 2 years and I have known him since I was like 4. We have been trying to have a baby for about a year now and it just doesn't seem to happen. I know people don't think young people should have babies, but we know that we are ready. We have never used condoms, we've tried only having sex missionary, and not getting up for a little bit afterward. I only see him about once a week because I am going to college over the Summer, so how do I assure pregnancy on a tight schedule?

hopefully this is just a phase you're going through. you are way too young to have a baby. i'm 21 and just recently found out i am pregnant. i think i'm too young to have a baby. all of my friends are going out and drinking while i sit at home being pregnant. please rethink your decision and start using protection. a baby is a lifetime commitment. please make the right choice and use protection.

I think that if you know you or your partner is ready financially and or mentally, then there is nothing wrong with that!! I tried for 4years with the same guy and couldnt get pregnant. One day I had sex with another guy and that same night I got pregnant!! It might just be because your partners sperm count is low!? Maybe hes not very fertile like some men are. Just keep tryin, youll eventually get that bundle of joy. Plus I heard that If you stress too much you might not be able to then. Just take it slow and let it happen!!
