Hi, I'm also a preteen.
I was 185 at the age of 12, I didn't like who I was so I asked for help.
After a Few mouths I lost 62 pounds and I'm still not Happy with were I am, And I don't get why?
But what I learned is that at are age we need ( Fat, calories, etc.. ) So we are able too develop are brain and Body.
And i didn't eat healthy when i was losing weight, i wouldn't touch anything with Fat and that was the worst thing i have done too my body Because i was literally Killing my body by not giving it what it needed. After all the damage i have done to my self and my health I wish i could Have done it in a different way. So don't think we don't need Fat or whatever because we truly do we aren't done growing, so ask your mom or dad to bring you too see a dietician she or he will teach you how to lose weight in a healthy and safe way :-)
Ps- we aren't all meant too be skinny , some of us do have big boons ;-) so don't let anyone tell you aren't beautiful because you are

Hi im thirteen. Three years ago i weighed a lot. My parents broke up and i had been going over to my grandmas. She wants to loose weight to but never does. But anyways i would eat Breakfeast, lunch, dinner. and for a late night snack i would have just one 100 calorie pack. Then me and my dad would walk about a whole mile or two each day. but my parents are back together and i gained it all back and some more. The key to loosing weight is exercise, eating healthy, and gving up.

i am the same as you guys, im 13 nearly 14 and i know im overweight, im 5'3 and its not nice.
all of my friends are soooo much skinnier than me and its not fair i feel like crying, when i was younger i used to be skinny but now lall of a sudden i've become really fat and i dont know why. i've tried really hard to go on a diet but it just doesn't work. my mums always buying crisps, chocolates and fizzy drinks into the house, and when i look in the fridge you just cant help but eat it !!!! i also have no time to go out for a run, because im always busy. but at school im always running around, and doing sort but it dosn't work. PLEASE HELP ME I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT, ITS REALLY GETTING ME DOWN :( !!

A TEEN GIRLS SHOULD ONLY EXCERCISE FOR NO MORE THAN TWO HOURS A DAY..over-excercising (3+ hours) can be extremly dangerous for a teenage girl because it can cause eating disorders,obsessive excercise (which leads to anorexia). I know because I have been through it!!!
If you want to loose weight then try to lessen your daily intake of high fat and high sugar foods.
Excercise everyday if you want, or at least 3-4 times a week. I only execise 30 mins a day(jogging and cardio) and it is working great..It Will take time!!!! dont try to loose too much weight at a time because it is unhealthy. Try having a low fat fruitshake in the morning and smaller but more meals during the day to stop cravings for snacks and sugary food. TIP: do more around the house baceuse it keeps your mind off eating and it is still a form of excercise!!!
P.S I am 15 and my mum is a specialist in this kind of thing.

Hiya, I'm 13 and I'm going through the exactly same thing, what I tend to do is have a chocolate free diet, I am literally a chocoholic :-P so it's hard but skip the desserts and the chocolate bars ect.. :-) I have an awful stanima so running is hell, I like doing workouts but they rarely work, it's very fustrating!!! But one thing I noticed, have no snacks... be determined ( except low calorie drinks) . Have smaller lunches. No desserts. Try having no chocolate. And lots of exercise and we will see a difference xx;-) Love you guys

I want to lose weight but idk how...I've been drinking 1 glass of orange juice in the am with cereal, pizza and pint of chocolate milk for lunch at school and water with wattever wr make for dinner. when I go for walks its only down the street and down another street so I jog or run but I see no results what do I do?? oh, I'm 5 ft. 8 in.

I've never been considered "fat" or exstremely skinny , but i really need 2 lose weight! Its effecting my sports and how i feel about myself. I already know i have to eat better but i really wanna know what exersizes will help me lose STOMACH fat FAST!!!!! PLease respond summer is right around the corner and i exstremly want a Thin stomach. Also my height is 5'1.5. And my weight is around 125-140 am i too overweight???!!???

If you would like to start losing weight, don't eat as much take-out/ fast food.
If you have a bike, ride it at least for 30mins-1 hour everyday.
Do stretches, eat healthy breakfasts. No sugary cereal. More like granola bars and such.
I use to be quite chunky in 5th & 6th grade. But then I started doing these things & now I weigh 125lbs.
If your school has sport activities/after-school clubs involving sports. (I know it sounds terrible, but if you're desperate to lose a couple pounds it will pay off in the long run, trust me)
Join them.
I'm happy with my body, but there is little things that I hate like my legs for instance. I have very little muscle.
My boobs are at the size I like (34D)
If you're self-conscience about those things, don't be.
I was FLAT CHESTED in 6th grade.
Haha. It takes awhile for your hormones and body to grow.
Also, when you're in your pre-teens your metabolism is faster than it will be in your adulthood.
So you might want to start healthy habits now!
