I had an infection in my face which the doctor treated as virus so I used zovirax. It continued to get worse for a couple of months. I saw the doctor three times and he suggested uremal. It still continued to get worse. I then went to see a naturopathic doctor and he said it was demodex, which is a parasite that infests the hair folicles. In dogs it is demodex mange. He gave me a treatment to use. In two days a lump developed on my bottom lip which looked like it was swelling up and soon a fat little worm came out. In an hour or so small white things that looked like little worms began to come out of the whole area where the rash wash. These organisms did not move, though. I brushed them off into the sink and washed my face. An hour later I noticed more coming out. This went on in spells for about two days. Then the sores bagan to heal and all of the activity inside the skin stopped. It is all healed now but there are scars left where I tried to make the white things come out fast. I found that I had to let them exit my skin at their own pace.

This has continued to infest my body so I called the Naturopathic doctor and he told me it will take at least 6 months on the iodine and seabuckthorn treatment. I lost all of the hair on my legs and some on my eyebrows.
