I took some already a few minutes ago and I was wondering if i will be okay? I know this is stupid of me to ask AFTER the fact that I already took it, but I can't get to a doctor (no free clinics and completely broke. I work at Target) and I had my mom and mother in-law give me the go ahead to take it.
Basically the issues started last year when I moved to North Carolina. I acquired a terrible sore throat. Not just a normal sore throat but, one that almost completely shut off my breathing tube and inflamed my lymph noids in my neck. During that time I went to a doctor and she told me I had strep. She gave me a shot of penicillin in the butt and after a few days it got better. A few days after it got better it came back worse than what it was originally.
I waited it out for about a week and decided to go to the E.R., because I was becoming badly dehydrated and had trouble even speaking. The doctor there ran both a strep and mono test which came back negative, so she advised me to go see an ENT and gave me a shot of steroids. After a few days the steroids relieved all the swelling in my neck area and I returned to normality. For a good period of time the symptoms of (unknown sickness 25478+1) did not reoccur. However, during this summer and early fall I did receive brief 1 to 2 day periods of these symptoms spread out with them only occurring every month or so.
It is now close to a year after my first encounter with the sickness, and my stupid tonsils are at it again. I cannot afford to get them takin' out, let alone see a doctor period, so is it okay that I continue to take this amox-clav? And will I be okay, even though I already took it?

As far as I know you should be okay but I don't want to speculate--with a sore throat like that, you really need to see a doctor regardless of your financial situation. That could be something serious and could lead to complications. Did you see the other doctor about the sore throat coming back?
No, when I noticed the ~ $2,000 on my doctor bill I became discouraged about going to see a doctor. I am only 21 and I've never had a doctor bill in my life till this point. It's a scary thought for me being in debt so much and having to take care of it all by myself. So after those two visits I stayed away from the doctors and haven't been back since. I'm thinking about going to an urgent care later on today. I heard they aren't to expensive and they provide discounts to people who don't have insurance and pay right up front.
I feel the same. I actually use Care Credit so I can still go to the doc and they are paid in full. I can make payments on my Care Credit card. It’s useful because you can use it at places like Walgreens for Rx too along w the Good Rx app to apply a discount first.
