It shocks me at how little doctors know about this. I've had this problem since pre-puberty - Cortisone ointments (ointments not creams, cause the other ingredients in the creams make it worse) are the only thing that really helps me. I get these paper cuts at least two flares in a cycle, one after ovulation, one right before period. There are some theories that some women are very sensitive to changes in progesterone, which in turn flares up whatever it is, eczema, psoraisis, all the other skin conditions.

I've been having the same type of thing.....I actually use a scrub on the area every time I shower which helps get rid of most of the dry skin, and other that, I use baby lotion and body oils....it seems to help prevent it from itching. However, I can't get it to go away.

Even I had used all sorts of creams for such type of sores. At last Ring guard helped eradicating that flaky, itchy Tinea worm. May be you could also try that.

MInes pretty much the same I'm 19 and just started having sex again, after few days of absolute no sex or touching, I started itching really bad (sorry I don't really know the real technical terms) near my vaginal hole and all up in between my lips, around my clit, I'm currently trying to heal it on my own with thinking it's a yeast infection but Maybe it is from my birthcontrol!?? I've been on the same pill for years though ☹️ I've noticed I don't stay wet very long during intercourse

A solution of half saline wash and half regular hydrogen peroxide as a rinse or spray at least 3 times a day. Google it. Try it. Saved my sanity.

Hey!! I'm experiencing just ONE cut that is repeatedly scanning over with a white, flakey and slightly itchy scab... when the scab comes off another one is there in the same spot days later. It's been a few weeks. I am on the same BC pills for about 8 months now

This might sound crazy but I believe it's the chemicals they use on Tampons and pads they have found dioxins in them! It's so harmful for us. I would always get it half way in my period or just finishing and I figured out it was the pads and tampons....

I have been suffering this same paper cut, intense itching, peeling skin on and off for years now. The only pattern I can find is when i have had my period for an extra long time or increased discharge or moisture. (I am peri-menopausal thus I seem to have 'something' everyday now). The only help that I have found is gentian violet. It has both antifungal and antibacterial properties and was used since the 1800's for candida/thrush and other skin ailments). It will stain anything it comes in contact with from several days (skin) to permanently (clothing) but I get relief. I paint it on with a q-tip on the labial majora and minora (outside) making sure to get the paper cuts and itchy areas and use a cloth maxi pad (I use my black colored ones to decrease the permanent staining). I stay away from anything that will keep the area wet, use cotton pads and underwear and for my period I use a menstrual cup (this is so I don't have to use tampons or plastic-y pads). I have nothing against tampons but I have hormonal issues now and they are not comfortable and dry me out. This has been my way to live with it as doctors do not seem to see this as an issue yet there are so many of us who suffer with the exact same symptoms. Interestingly, as a child I used to suffer with canker sores on my tongue (not to be confused with cold sores on the lip) to the tune of 10-20 at a time. My mother used to 'dot' each one with a touch of gentian violet and within 24 hours they were gone. It is used for those cuts you get in the corner of your mouth that are so painful when they crack open again. I decided to give it a try with my 'girly' problems as things couldn't get much worse....It worked for me!

I have the exact same problem as you. Literally exact. The only thing that has helped me is I took a washcloth with very warm water and put some baking soda on it, rubbed it into the washcloth, and then just held it on where the dryness was. My gynecologist said this would help "reset the pH" so I figured it couldn't hurt. After that I pat it dry, put some Cortizone 10 for eczema all over it, and go to sleep without underwear. This has been the ONLY thing has helped me significantly. Maybe it will help other people as well.

I have the same thing. My Dr did a biopsy and it came back as eczema. Never a skin problem In my life and at 36 this manifests itself. It doesn't go away ever but the cream helps somewhat.
