Recently I've notice that the skin on my scrotum has become slightly swollen, among that I seem to be sweating a sticky substance from my balls. It's quite itchy, also the skin on my penis is quite dry and itches often too.
Please help as I'm very embarrased and confused to what it is.
Cheers.

I currently have the same problem. The problem started when it got hot and I had jock itch. I sprayed some tinactin down their and in a few days my scrotum was burning. The skin gets sticky and sometimes very red. When it is red it hurts to walk.
I went to my primary doctor twice and Dermatologist twice. The Dermatologist says it is contact dermatitis. The online doctor says it is eczema, which is basically the same thing.
I have been using eczema cream and topical steroids when it gets bad.
This has been going on for over two months now. Their is a possibility it could take years to correct itself.
I sympathize with you. I hope yours isn't as bad.

Yeah I have it and about a thousand people online have it. Itchy red gooey penis with no Std's. at times even little red bumps, at times cracked dry but no itch, happens about once every 3-6 months. You forget about it when it goes away but once it comes back your all looking for the answer again. Well I have been looking for it for 6 years....4 doctors and still no luck getting help. I feel your itchy std like pain without the std. yeah it sucks.
hi, i also had a terrible itch too. Its a little red, and also its sticky as if sweated lol.. please pm me if anyone know the answer! thanks
its embarassing to scratch your groin in front of your friends you know :-(

I have another appointment with a dermatologist in April but the current consensus is that it's eczema.
The rash has been plaguing me for nine months straight now. Sometimes it hurts to walk. The skin doesn't itch and it's not dry and cracked but red and irritated. Not psoriasis but doesn't look like eczema either.

You might just be chaffing (Spell?) I have the same problem, (I'd imagine that most folks who have larger thighs and are busy most of the day have this problem)
I hope that's all it is.
Best wishes,

Mine doesn't hurt too bad, but for almost 5 years now, I've had the sticky, red and itchy scrotum issues described. I've been to two GP's and 2 dermatologists about it, and so far I've gotten no relief. Powder like Zeasorb fights the symptom somewhat, but it's back the next day. It's really becoming an issue with my wife and I's sex life. And it's just plain annoying. I have to wear boxers instead of briefs, and it keeps me from being very active. Heat only makes it worse.
The last dermatologist I saw about it said it was chafing, similar to what an overweight person would develop between rolls of fat. But I'm not overweight. I'm actually on the skinny side.
I'm getting to the point where I just don't know what to do.

Like many here I suffered for about three years with almost constant scrotum itching. I went to a couple of dermatologists over the years. They prescribed the usual lotions, etc., with no appreciable result. I used Sarna lotion daily to help control the itching, but the problem was always there.
Anyway about 18 months ago I stumbled upon a cure - at least for me. A friend, whose nephew is a dermatologist, told them that Safeguard made the best soap because it had a mild anti-bacterial component. On a lark, I bought a package. After a couple of weeks of daily use, I realized that the itching had completely stopped. It was like night and day. The skin on my scrotum returned to a normal state. It's been well over a year and the itching has never returned.
I immediately went out and bought several packages of Safeguard in case they stop making it. The soap is very inexpensive - about $5 for ten bars. I buy it at the supermarket, but Target and Walgreen's sell it as well.
I hope this helps someone. It sounds too simple - but this is an honest account of my situation/solution.

After having the "sticky scotum" syndrum for about 6 months I searched the net and found no "real" cause as was indicated by some posted comments. In March of this year I went on vacation and noticed that my stickiness went away during the week I was on vacation. I came back home and low and behold it reappeared! So, I asked myself what was different about the vacation and home situation. I ate pretty much the same types of food and the same breakfast--oatmeal everyday. There was one difference as I pondered the situation. I cooked my oatmeal in a pan on the stove while on vacation and did not nuke it in the microwave in a plastic bowl as I had done for months!!! So, I decided to switch to glass bowls and still use the microwave--presto!! The stickines went way and I haven't had it sense!!! I was using plastic bowls with a number "5" stamped on the bottom and this is one of the numbers that was put out by NBC, in a news broadcast, that was bad to use, especially heating it with food in it, and the other 2 numbers were a 2 & 7. These plastics emit BP-A when heated, according to NBC and lots of internet articles--(the FDA says they are safe--BS)!--and are called endocrine disruptors! I do not know the reason as to why they caused my problem or how it disrupts the endocrine scenario but apparently it is mimicing estrogen and this may be the problem--too much estrogen in my system. I know one thing for sure--I quit using PLASTICS in the microwave and thew them all away and do not use plasticcs to eat out of or drink from. I hope my experience, suggested cure, helps some else with this uncomfortable situation!! No more stickiness.
I have been dealing with the itchy sweaty mess as well and I have to say I prayed to the Lord on it and Ive been using "Safeguard" brand soap for a few weeks (no more gels) and it has made a SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT! Hallelujah! I thank you for that posting! I can go back to sleeping comfortably now and not just on my back to keep from aggravating it. The sweatiness still occurs sometimes and makes it itch a little but i just apply a little baby powder and it helps stop it (There is also anti-itch powder by Gold Bond and Target that helps). Im still looking for something to completely rid me of the sticky sweat so I will try the B2 vitamins and Caladryhl gel and pray on that too. Im happy and inspired because I know VICTORY is on the way and I'm keeping the FAITH!
P.S. Does anyone else notice a swollen bump on either side of the scrotum that seems to be the source of the sticky sweat?
Thanks yall! We will get through this! Just believe! :-)

I can't find the ingredients so check with your doctor first. Nystatin is used for many thing diaper rash, if not treated properly can turn into a fungus. The breast area if a women sweats to much there a fungus can develop, that is why Nystatin is used, to prevent the growth of fungus. Larger breasted women tend to have this problem more often. Per my doctor who prescribes it.
I had this problem and I battled with it for years. You should use an antifungal powder on a regular basis. I use it in the morning and again before I go to bed. I have used Sanafitil and Zeeabsorb. Both are good. Believe me I had the same problem and I used every cream known to man, but the powder did the trick. My doctor also told me that you cannot build up a tolerance to powder unlike creams.
A very, very sensitive scrotum for 10 months. I tried all the conventional treatments for 6 months without any relief. Seeing a dermatologist and a urologist did not help either.
Knowing that it was a fungus and with nothing to lose, I started to experiment with all types of fungal treatments. Two months after trying several different treatments I tried some desenex athlete's foot power. Not yet a cure but I did get about 90% realief. I would put some powder on a powder puff and dab it on the effected area.
I used it for about 3 weeks before I noticed any improvement. I'm hoping for a cure in another 2 mounths.
Has any one tried this method and what were your results. Good luck to all.

Hey boys I'm probably not supposed to post here but I wanted to let you know that women are suffering with this God aweful mystery condition as well. The Dr.s don't seem to have any real answers but just guess and say it's not an std but they're not sure what the cause is. I'm frankly very sick of getting the run around. I will try the safe guard soap and get back to you all. If the doctors won't go look in the microscopes and tell us what's up maybe we can figure it out ourselves. Any scientists or Doctors out there with this problem? R u willing to look under the microscope? maybe do some process of elimination. I'm wondering if maybe we're dealing with a normal human parasite that some of us have developed an allergy to? Or an enviromental pollutant in our clothing that some of us may be ultra sensitive too or probably a combination of these factors. Thnx gentleman for hearing out a lady on this matter. Ideas suggestions?
HEY i have a similar pump that seems to be the source of teh stickiness? any help? how many weeks did it take for safe gaurd to work? im dying!!
