Itchy head all of a sudden

For some reason my head started itching really bad several weeks ago. The only thing I can assume about the cause was that I got a hair cut from my usual barber and maybe something from his previous customer may have gotten on me.

Symptoms: My head/hair itches constantly. It also feels like minor bumps are showing up like zits.

I shower everyday and my hygiene is clean. I don't apply any kind of hair treatment that would cause irritation.

Please help.
