large labia minora - is it normal?

I have a large labia as well. It is VERY normal, and a lot of guys find it attractive.  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed*** You should feel proud for having one.

I'll be 24 in less than a month, and have always feared the fact that I have a little larger Labia Minora cause I compared myself to those porn stars, thinking that I was weird and that it's only me who's having a little longer Labia Minora!  Never dared to open up with any of my friends about it until lately that I have been thinking about it quite a lot! My friends couldn't really explain to me how they looked down there and of course I didn't ask them to show themselves to me and that's why I've always felt bad about me! Actually I like it now! I just am scared that my boyfriend find it a turn off!
People have different views, of that I'm sure!

I already know how my cousin and my best friend look down there and since they're of those small and rather none labia minora ones, I was so insecure about mine... Knowing just how two people who were close to me look and all those porn stars.. had made me so upset about this, for God knows how long!! until I came upon a Forum and through that Forum and Google I came upon this website, I also found a website with so many different Vagina pics, color, size and etc. and I read all the post that concerned people have wrote here and on different Forums.

I can say that for the past 2 or 3 days that I've been reading what girls like me think and how boys' reaction to this fact is, I am feeling a lot better and I think one the worst concerns about my life and my sex life is just about to go away. I'm sure I am going to feel a whole lot better as soon as I intimate with my 2nd boyfriend. It feels really good and I thank all you people who took time to write here so that one day I and so many concerned girls and women would read your posts and feel confident in them! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I know each and everyone of you are so beautiful inside and out. :)

Reading all your posts, I even dared to talk this over with my mom today and learned that she's quite like me! :) I feel so good now! Heeeey...

I will keep reading these kinds of posts and keep searching different places on the Internet, it just gives me more confident which I think after all this time thinking the opposite, it's hard to suddenly think different.. But I am trying o think different. I am now so thankful that mine are not as large as they hang out my Labia Majora. They don't hurt me while wearing tight jeans or doing sports or stuff other girls were complaining about. I hope you find a way to take care of your vagina no matter how it looks, being healthy is the most important thing in life, life's too short and if we want to waste it over these things, there will be short of time to enjoy the best of it.
I am going to change my thought and I hope you concern girl like me out there, so the same!

Well that's a relief. I'm 12 years old and I have a large labia and I had no clue what it was. I thought I was abnormal! I told my mom and she's like, "What? That's weird." And a doctor looked at it and had no clue what he was talking about! He said it was some sort of non normal thing but at least I'm not the only person with this problem!

My cousins have the same condition. It's something like leathery soft protrusion - but I guess this is normal because they never complained of any problem or discomfort during sex. They are married and have babies

hiya i 13 and am realy self conscious about my labie when i asked my mum if it looked normal she said shes never seen one like it before its not massisve but its still there and thought i was the only one in the world who had one and that if my freinds new about it they would hate me this has definatly reasured me to know there ae other people with the same condition ( even so im still a little worried) so thanks xxxxx

This was a huge relief ! I'm 15 &&I noticed that I had large labia lips since I hit puberty . I've been so self concious of it , but now that I know that I'm not the only one , GOOD . I'm so relieved .(: But the constant pain &&readjusting of the vagina is embarrassing , and very annoying . At least I'm not the only one !

I'm a guy, and such thing as large labia wouldn't stop me or any other guy, unless it's so large it covers half of the p***y, no i am kidding. I would lick it out mmmmm. i'm 17.

Hey guys, I'm about to turn 21 (in 13 days, hollaa) and I also have large labia minora. Reading these discussions make me feel comforted about my appearance now. I have always been embarrassed and ashamed of my labia. When I began noticing my large labia back when I was 12 or 13, I let my mom know about it and she thought it was strange and kind of freaked out (but I bet most mothers will act the same way when they don't know about the condition). When I went to visit my pediatrician, I was even more freaked out about my appearance because she did not know what to make of it, so I automatically thought that I have to be some kind of freak or that I'm part of a minority of girls that have this. Luckily, my labia do not cause me any physical pain or discomfort (At times they can be a little annoying and get in the way, but I've gotten used to it). I continue to go on with my life, but I am still self-conscious at times. I am also a virgin, so naturally I'm freaked out about what guys will think or say about me. I have always thought that guys would be appalled by this because of what they see in porn and in their idealistic thoughts of how their women should look like and I will most likely continue to have those thoughts, but it's nice to know that there are many other women out there that are like me! :)

Hey girls. I'm 16 & am completely embarrassed of the way my vag looks. It literally took me a year to finally tell my mom to set up a appointment with a gyn to look at it. I do have a large labia minora, as my gyn called it.. I explained i had uncomfort with it while playing sports, wearing jeans/shorts/swimsuits as they're all pretty tight around there (yes i realize it's possible to buy looser clothing) & even in p.e. class walking around. If you're considering telling someone, especially if you're around my age where you need a parent/gaurdian to take you, just ask them. it's seriously SO easy! Idk what i was scared of. I went and saw the gyno today & she said i was a candidate for a labiaplasty(woohoo!). I've researched different techniques & different looks for about 3 months so i know what i would like to be done down there. I'm already feeling so much more confident with myself & can't wait to set up a surgery date with the surgeon. If you're my age & considering telling a trusted adult, do it! SO worth it. Of course, if you are doing it because you're a virgin & scared a guy will see it during sex or if they see u naked & won't like u because of it... Turn the lights off, they don't look anyway.
